re: Kauai and Maui - Reccomendations for things to do... - SM6
St. Regis Princeville is great. Kauai is certainly an outdoorsy island. I would look at a sunset cruise on the Na'Pali coast. Tacos at Da Crack in Poipu are fantastic, as is the Poke at any one of the Koloa Town shops....

re: Emirates Airline. Anyone? - SM6
but you will have a significant amount of room compared to others
Unless you are on one of their 777s which are 10 abreast in economy. The 777 was designed for 9 abreast (2-5-2 or 3-3-3) and that was very comfortable, but the 10 configuration (3-4-3) leaves the seats narrower than ...

re: Areas to avoid in Chicago? - SM6
What exactly makes up the "south side"? Is there a certain street or area that defines the border?
Near the lake I would stay north of Cermak Ave. (2200 block). I used to live at 1200 S near Michigan and it was fantastic. Soldier Field is around the 1800 S level. To be honest its ...

re: Areas to avoid in Chicago? - SM6
There could be deals to be had on the Mag Mile just because of inventory, but as far as hotels go the overwhelming majority are in good areas. Airbnb is a totally different ballgame though....

re: Educate yourself on WOW airlines if planning a trip to Europe soon - SM6
Yes they do, as does Icelandair. It's the issue with their hub at KEF. They don't have he terminal capacity to host two hub airlines who like to arrive, connect and depart passengers at the same time. They are working on it but it will take time....

re: Going to Lisbon in a few weeks - SM6
It's a lovely city to just walk around in. The Prado is worth a visit, but mostly I enjoyed hopping around little taverns and bars. Grab a little bit, have a drink and chat up the people. Some of the friendliest and engaging I've met in continental Europe....

re: Educate yourself on WOW airlines if planning a trip to Europe soon - SM6
I'm pretty familiar with Wow and their competitor Icelandair. Wow is a lot like spirit in that they found on fees for most of their revenue. If you buy luggage when you book you can save a lot of money. The A321s from the east coast to Iceland are great, configured like other domestic mainline je...

re: Has anyone used Groupon for travel? - SM6
A friend used one to go to Europe with a SO and was very happy with it. It's through a group travel agency, and was double occupancy as mentioned earlier. Think bused around the cities, meals and tours organized with the group....

re: Brief Chicago Question(s) - SM6
Totally forgot about Corridor, which comes from the DryHop team, both of which are conveniently located from Wrigley Field. I'd be inclined to recommend DryHop over Corridor if choosing between the two.
You can't go wrong at either, but I'm partial to Corridor because I live within...

re: Brief Chicago Question(s) - SM6
It took that long earlier in the late-spring / early-summer. Things have mostly leveled-off and three hours might be a bit extreme, even in the early hours.
I can attest that this is no longer the case. HOWEVER, if you are flying out of Terminal 3 at ORD (American, Alaska, JetBlue,...

re: Brief Chicago Question(s) - SM6
An alternative to Halsted and Boystown is Southport, 4 blocks west of the stadium on Addison. Corridor Brewing is a great brewpub to check out on Southport. Butchers Tap is also a good bet. There is no real Magazine Street equivalent, but you could head down to Wells St in Old Town, lots of ba...
