No, that would be Ohio and Michigan States.

The hell it is.....and fixing the special teams just doesn't happen overnight, particularly when you still have the same head terd calling the shots.

Have you watched our D secondary? They've got shredded several times by some truly schitty QBs. Mills return will help in that area but its not like some guaranteed elixir that will cure all quickly/permanently.
The D Line is coming but still a work in progress. Hell, I cant remember the last time they called LaCouture's name on a play.
The passing game has had one good game.....ONE!!!! And now here we are facing the beginning of a real bitch of a schedule and BH still has a ways to go.
And now with Moore out, we're forced to adjust on the run and face what will arguably be one of the best D's we will see all year.

You're making it sound like we are firing on all cylinders like a well-oiled machine or something. Pointing this out is not being a negative POS.

but he does have a point with regards to Bama - they are built to stop the power run game. We will have to throw - especially on 1st down to get out of there with a win
That's not entirely true, I think we just need to stay close enough in score to keep pounding.

Expect us to rotate the backs a little more against the top defenses, using Williams and Guice more often in the middle of the game. They are fully capable of picking up some yards and wearing a defense down some; and then you have a fresher Fournette at the end to close it out.

Who in the frick has bama played with a power run game and th like ours?

Who, motherfricker? Name them!

STFU. Bama isn't "built" to stop a power run game. They have to stop spread offenses every week just like us.

Miss St wasn't built to stop the run? Of course they were, right up until they played us

Bama has the best run D in the SEC that is obvious. We will have to pass to beat bama, Harris is still young he may not be able to handle the pressure of BDS. Hopefully LF7 can find some holes, but beating bama at their place won't be easy.

a) yes they are. Their front 7 has a lot of NFL talent on it and is very good. If any team is built to stop the run game its them.

b) ok? And we gained 337 yards, went 4/13 on 3rd, scored 21 points despite no turnovers, and were at the mercy of a long missed FG to win. Even if Bamas defense were nearly as bad as Mississippi States, what makes you think that will be enough?

As long as we don't have 2-3 touchdowns called back by penalties we should be fine.

Take him with a grain of salt.

He has pumped us a lot in the past years.

FOX Sports 1 doesn't have a contract with the SEC, so this little piss ant can can bash them like the pathetic little PAC-12 homer he has always been.

exactly. Just enjoy watching the games and at the end of the year, we'll all know.

All this agonizing about who's better than who is just exhausting. Let the season play out, then we'll know.

Cowherd is a traveling circus of one... a smart ringmaster of his own ridiculously large ego. He knows what to say to get college fans to respond. He also knows that at ESPN, not speaking highly of our Tigers will get the show's phone lines and his social media accounts blown up. If he learned nothing else about college football segments at ESPN, he certainly learned that LSU fan base is uniquely sensitive at times. When he makes that kind of an obviously inaccurate statement and we get pissed, he wins! So let this be our last ode to the circus master that is Colin Cowherd and never discuss him or that Finebaum character ever again on TD!

Shredded? Isn't LSU's pass defense ranked extremely high? Thomas has been burned no doubt...and teams are picking on him now. There have been several times he blew a coverage and the other team didn't make us pay. Teams eventually will. I believe the return of mills will go a long way in improving us in this area.

Our DL has played much better early on than they did early on last year. I believe like last year the second half of the season they will be at their strongest.

I think they have done a great job with Harris bringing him on slowly and gaining confidence. I didn't like eastern Mich because they made passing the key in first half instead of setting up the pass with the run...Harris has a lot of talent and is close to seeing the game slow down for him. When it does completely...watch out. We have recs that will make a cheating db pay the price. LSU's offense could literally be unstoppable when that happens and the beauty is that it won't be a gimmick that can be game planned against....

As for special teams...there will be some personnel changes that I expect will make some huge differences....as well as some scheme changing. It may not be spectacular this year...but it can be at least average...which IMO is all we need. Sky is the limit for this team as it continues toward peaking.

My eyes tell me this is not a top-five team. Defense is suspect. Play action on first down against Bama across the middle is the only thing that gives you a chance. I am more concerned with the defense. I think we can play even with Ole Miss and A&M And probably win both. Gumps are just a bit better right now. But anything can happen.

I know what he does...I don't even care what he thinks...its our own fans that shire on us and know better...that's where I have issue. You have an opinion...OK...but don't come here saying they are indeed overrated when teams ahead of them look like garbage every week. Keep some perspective and realism.

bama's front 7/8 don't look as quick as years past. I think LF can hit the corner at will. We'll see. Gator meat first.

It was the second career start for Harris in a hostile environment. LSU had 2 TDs called back and another long play nullified that would have given us great field position for another. Plus les took his foot off a little early given things mentioned above...and dak is a hell of a lot better than comer.
