this doesn't bode well for Miles in the future if we are hamstrung and in need of a qb after Jefferson (if Z Lee doesn't come). he booted Perrilloux for cause and now he either cuts Garrett or lets him slip away for not giving him reps.

frick i don't like this

made no sense whatsoever that he did not get more action in the spring game.

I'm going to wait and find out all the facts before I freak out. CLM may not have had a choice.

that is the concern...the future at the position.

we aren't that great at it now, and the future looks so questionable.

yea this was strange

We need a top rated Quaterback in this recruiting class regardless if Lee comes or not. Man the outlook for 2012 doesn't look very good at the QB position. I trust that Les can get us straight though.

Maybe we can recruit a top QB, if we don't have a single QB? ....I was just trying to mind-melt with Crowton...Sorry!

that can only possibly be lee, who is a baseball player playing football who likely leaves in 3 years

for everyone that is leaning on Lee as being the savior if he doesn't go the Dodger route, lower your expectations a little. His arm is going to be jello as soon as he's a friday night starter and taking 1st string snaps in practice (albeit for football that would be in a couple years).

So we have J Lee who is a senior, JJ who is a Junior and Zach Lee, who can still go pro in baseball. Even if you include Lee, if we don't get a QB this year and then Lee goes pro in baseball, we will be starting a RS Freshman again. WTF is going on?

I don't know... I have a funny feeling this is just what needed to happen. The only logical reason must be that Zack Lee is staying and starting in the Fall. It just seems too dumb if it's for any other reason. It's just too risky a move for Miles to make if we don't have an ace in the hole. This should be interesting. But still:

wait who else was cut?

Clay Spencer. Or at least I think he was. In his article he talked about rehabbing and feeling good, ready to go. Walked in Miles office, was told his shoulder wasn't healing right and that he had a "heart condition" and here's the medical redshirt.

Oh, but they said he could come back one day as a walk-on. So how bad is the heart problem really if he can play as a walk-on but not on scholly?

Lee does say football is his first love, so there's a chance he Jake Lockers it and doesn't play baseball.
