Cecil Collins would have gotten that yard v. UK.

the nigerian nightmare in his prime likely doesn't get that yard against UK

the UK play was blown up from the line of scrimmage. Not Chuck's fault. Ask UK how fun it was trying to tackle and chase Scott in the first half before Miles exiled him to the bench.

IMO Scott is the best all around back we have. He is fast enough to break away, he blocks ok, catches ok, can play FB or TB and can run inside and outside.

I would love to see Scott put on a show against Auburn even remotely close to the one Cecil put on.

Who do you take?

I'll take Cecil Collins who was bar-none the best runningback I ever saw in high school. Plus the guy averaged over 8 yards per carry in limited time at LSU.

You could have listed any RB in LSU history vs Cecil and I would have gone with Cecil. What a shame.

Now Joe Addai & Faulk were my 2 favorite RB's. Probably my favorite Tigers.

Really? Cannon, Alexander, Hilliard, Faulk. I don't think I would go that far based on 3 games.

That's more of a reflection on you IMO.

Cecil was clearly the better back.

based on 2 games?

well i base the 1st half of the UK game and say charles scott is better!

something makes me think that scott will get drafted a bit higher than cecil did

if a guy like cscott ran behind mclure and faneca back then, he would've had some pretty incredible numbers too

Cecil had a great short stint w/ LSU, but it seems like every year his legend grows a little more.

are there any youtube video's or anything of Cecil?

I know there are a few, but has someone made one of all of his runs?

Well yeah, but an off the field incident or two has something to do with that.

And Cecil was faster than 4.55.

Slow you are way off on this one.

Cecil was considered a potential #1 overall pick in the the draft before his baggage started showing up.

it's from memory

he definitely did not crack the 4.4s in any timed run during his recruitment process

he also didn't look that fast on the field either

other than having an interest in him, i was in LC when he played for McNeese

agree, it is too bad that he couldn't keep himself straight. In his only 4 games he had close to 600 yards, including torching Auburn for 232

what a waste of talent he was, he could have been one of the best ever.
