Cecil was considered a potential #1 overall pick in the the draft before his baggage started showing up

And before he got hurt!! People forget that he was injured first before all the trouble

Yeah, there were no injury or character questions with Cecil entering the draft.

You need to do a little more homework on Cecil. did you see him play?

yeah i saw him play for mcneese where his sample got bigger and he didn't look that special

i think a lot of people who put cecil so high need to look up the term "flash in the pan"

cecil just does not have a big enough sample to put him that high. end of conversation

for example, did you see what keiland did to VT while SHARING CARRIES?

Played against Faulk. Thought I had his arse cornered on a reverse. He turned the corner so fast...I was on the ground looking at him burn down the field for a 70yrd TD, saying to myself "aint that a bitch". Kevin was the shite.

How many career carries does Scott have? I can't imagine he has many more than Cecil so by your definition you can't put him higher than Cecil.

i'm just basing it off of what i've seen of both

i mean shite if cecil was THAT great he would have done SOMETHING in the NFL, pre-stalking

he was quite mediocre and couldn't beat out other mediocre RBs in Miami as a rookie

To use your words, his sample in the NFL is even smaller than his LSU sample. Much to small to pass judgement.

well at LSU he was at least going up against kevin faulk...he had to beat out jj johnson in miami

"LSU lore" people turn cecil into AD xs 3

well we saw what AD did last year

great RBS don't often struggle their rookie years

Many, many rookie running backs struggle in the NFL and turn out to be good/pro-bowl calibre.

I'm not saying Cecil would be a HOFer, but with out injuries/baggage he was better than Scott.

That is also after he broke his anke, and tore all of the ligaments. If you knowledge of Cecil begins at McNeese, then that explains your stance.

Did LSU have Kevin Faulk and Cecil "the diesel" Collins at the same time?

Yes indeed. Scary thought isn't it?? He graduated Leesville in '96 I think.

I doubt at 14 years old, you were in the stands with a stopwatch. Again you continue people reference people like Christian Okoye who had retired when you where 9 years old.

Why did you change your born on date from 1983 to 1982?

Eh... broken legs often do that to people. And you can't honestly believe that the same guy that rushed for almost 8,000 yards at Leesville and for over 8 yards a carry at LSU is the same guy that played at McNeese. I saw him at LHS, LSU, and McNeese, and he was a shell of his former self after the injury and legal problems. He also looked about 15 pounds heavier at MSU.
