As opposed to Scott who can't manage the full time starting job in college? Excellent point.

not to take away from the run, but it isn't exactly like the blocking didn't create a massive hole/seam for him to run through

can i post multiple videos of reggie bush doing the same thing (without him getting caught from behind)?

I seem to remember him saying Cecil was the most talented back he had ever coached.

Wow, #22 in Dallas?? That's saying something.

Are you really comparing Phillips off field issues with Collins' heading into the draft?

it was a different NFL, and "off field issues" weren't really punitive

You are mistaken.

As I stated above, the only thing that stopped him from being the full time starter was his behavior. Not because someone else was better. Just stop it.

before he was arrested, he didn't have the full-time role as starting RB

That was your claim, not mind. And you were making in the NFL. Come on, don't embarrass yourself.

What a moron. That goes for every back in the world. Their O-line usually opens holes for them. You are ridiculous Slo.

Joe Addai couldn't beat out Dominic Rhodes as a rookie.

Hey Sammich, who's the best QB ever in the NFL in your opinion?

OH COME ON!

Sorry, SFP... I'm not letting you off the hook THAT easy.

Even with good blocking... a running back gets the runs he deserves to make. It's not like you, me, or even the average college football running back could have duplicated that run.

Don't be contrary for the sake of being contrary. Amazingly, SOMETIMES, seeing is actually believing. If that highlight didn't do Collins' running ability justice, it wouldn't have been titled "Cecil Collins Run," it would have been titled "LSU Offensive Line Enables Running Back for Big Gain."

Please.

ok then i submit this:

similar b/c the OL does a great job of blocking, but scott has to hit the seam right, like collins did, and scott has more to deal with in the open field, which collins did not have to do

Trust me when I say this... Cecil Collins, had he been able to actually complete his career at LSU, would have been the best RB in this school's history.

He was electrifying. Fast, powerful, agile. This is a guy who in three games pretty much put Kevin Faulk (our actual greatest RB) on the bench.

I agree, I saw him. It's Sloflo who is trying to downplay Cecil Collins.

Cecil was talented enough to play 3 games & a few carries, got very serious 1st round consideration & got drafted in the 5th Round because of behavior problems.
