One of the major allures of the mountain west is the ability to get away from this crap and enjoy a taste of the way things used to be. So much for that......
I get impatient when the pump runs slow and a 2 minute fill-up takes 4. Can't imagine waiting an average of 39 minutes every 100-200 miles. I would lose my mind or suffer a stroke, or both....
Yeah, I just cannot imagine a road trip with so many stops and so much time waiting for the EV to charge. Not to mention the anxiety of finding a place to charge before it goes dead or having to plan the trip around available charging stations. Way too much work, frustration, and time. It all sou...
6000 miles @ 70 mph avg = 85 hrs 54 charging stops @ an avg of 39 minutes = 35 hrs 85 hrs driving, 35 hrs waiting, 54 stops! [link=(https://yaleclimateconnections.org/2023/12/i-drove-6000-miles-in-an-ev-heres-what-i-learned/)]LINK[/link]...
At this point, it's looking like I won't file a claim. Paying a 1k deductible with the risk of being capped at 5k or being outright denied isn't worth it.
The mold remediation would likely not touch the $5k limit. A good restoration company will convey to the adjuster that most of...

man, you are likely going to have moisture/mold underneath your cabinets as well. If so, the lowers will almost certainly need to be pulled. You need a professional, unless you want to spend your next couple of months dealing with the repairs on your own and in hopes you can fully remediate the mo...

Fly into Montrose and book a shuttle. I just booked one last week for around $75. You won't need a car. The gondola serves both Telluride and Mountain Village, so you can go everywhere you need to that way. We stayed in Telluride last year (Telluride Lodge) and are staying there again this yea...
Take a day off and snowmobile in Yellowstone
I was also last there about 20 years ago and will never forget that experience. Take a recovery day mid-way through your skiing and go do this tour. To this day, it's one of the coolest things I've ever done and I'm sure will be for yo...

If you spend a day in Phoenix before driving up, I suggest a half day kayak down the lower salt river. I just did that this weekend, and it was really a highlight of our Phoenix trip. The water was a cool 55-60 degrees, gently flowing to light rapids, incredible canyon and mountain views, and lots...
Presley, as my PSC commissioner, allowed my water provider to be bought by an out of state provider and then allowed the new provider to raise our rates by over 400% to absolutely absurd levels earlier this year. This man then runs gubernatorial political ads gloating that as commissioner he preven...

Rates are going up for several reasons. The biggest is inflation. The cost of new and used vehicles has increased significantly. And if your vehicle is totaled and has to be replaced, your insurer must pay more for a suitable replacement. Also, the cost of repairs has skyrocketed due to increasi...
You don't think they've thought through their options? They don't have to take your gas appliances. They have a variety of means to shut down the gas utilities and/or make gas so expensive you won't want it....
Exactly. Sounds like the DOJ agreed on future immunity until questioned by the judge. Then they had to scramble and change their story, and the defense said wait a second, this is not what we agreed to....

A lot is being made about the President going after his political foe. Biden has said repeatedly he isn't involved, and, though I rarely believe him, I don't necessarily doubt him in this case. This is the DNC and deep state in the driver's seat and in the white house. Biden is just their pawn....
In retrospect, can you imagine Bohannon's reaction when the news broke about suspicious gaming activity in Ohio involving Alabama baseball?...
Iowa made the decision that they would sag and not guard the perimeter, just like they did with South Carolina. We had the mindset - unlike South Carolina - that we were going to shoot it if they did that, and we did....

They define the peak days on their website. We got the 4 day pass this season and didn't need to pay extra because we were not going to be skiing on any black out days. We used it at Telluride, and it was far cheaper than buying lift tickets from the resort....
