i've never been opposed to CS being the starter, if he's the better back

KW and CS were both better than hester last year

CramItUgly has no clue. KW and CS better than Hester? Did you watch last year's games? No doubt CS will start and KW will get his carries. Still TB by committee unless a major injury. Porter wants, not likes, slam-mouth football and wants his backs, not likes his backs, to run over people. You will see a lot of inside running with CS and Ridley. No doubt Murphy and KW will get the outside opened up and have some big runs.

i think a lot of people on this board are so accustomed to hester and lsu's lack of a running game prior to him that they've forgotten what a dominant ground game with explosive backs looks like. i think KW and CS remind them this year

Explosive running game?? That is not what wins football games. Porter, the RB coach wants blue-collar TBs. Doesn't matter who you all think is the best. Miles and Crowton will use their best (not your best ) and in spite of you all, may win another BCS. Explosive running game??? No clue. The coaches have set plays for each TB. They are starting to have some two TB sets (like Arkansas did last year.)

There was a lack of running game before him? I thought we won in 03 due to the running game.

05 when addai was out and the majority of 06 before KW emerged as the starter.

I guess??? What do you think??? Its a way to point out another's lack of reasoning (or my own..) The whole issue of a running game is ball control and game control and wearing down a defense. These defenses that are hammered for 3-4-5 yards a pop, get scored on, and their offenses are kept off the field, just can't do flip and their coaches game plan gets flushed down the toilet. That's what wins BCS titles.

I wasn't particularly impressed by Scott last year. Other than one long rumble against Kentucky, I don't recall him making any particularly momentous runs. I remember that he made a couple of nice gains on inside slip screens, but not runs out of the backfield.

I primarily remember him getting stuffed on 4th and 1 at Kentucky.

I am not saying he is a poor back, by any stretch of the imagination. However, did he really impact games more than Keiland last year?
