interesting quote from Tyson Jackson:

quote:

"Charles Scott is a big pounder. He's going to bruise your defense up. He's about 235 pounds, and he's going to run forward and through you. Keiland Williams is more of a finesse guy. He's going to dance around the field and make plays. Richard Murphy — that guy's a speedster. He reminds a lot of people of Reggie Bush, and he's going to make plays all over the field."

Stuff like that being said leads me to believe that if the coaches see it that way also, and I'm not saying they do, we'll see more of the play calling determining which back is in the game more so than the hot hand which seemed to be the case last year imo

i hope other teams dont tell Miles at halftime that they are taking away the carries available for the hot back again like UK did last year.

evidently, les likes more of a power back instead of the speedy or east and west guys. guess that is the reason hester was the man last year. i have no problem with c.s. starting.

I agree with TJ's assessment from what we've seen of each back so far. Throw in TH and Crowton's got serious weapons, as much of a hot topic as it is, the starter doesn't really matter, we should still see all three

there's no reason to think he'll change, but I really hope they reward the hot back this year. Not only is it more fair, but it seems to make the most sense relative to winning the game.

atleast i don't think any of the 3 have earned Miles' "baby" status yet. So i would hope he wouldn't give an injured player pumping out 3 yards a pop all the carries and sit the hot guy entirely.

An all 3 guys are better than Hester so we'll be ok. Unless Ridley sucks of course.

I hope he stays away from the track. He seems to have problems picking the right horse.
I just watched Flynn holding that national championship trophy on College Football Today.

No one knows, but don't be surprised if all the 4 TBs get 10 touches each.. even in a close game.

He will use TH but not as much as expected.. Who knows. An opinion. TH got very few touches in scrimmages.

So apparently do 2 head coaches that have won National Titles, since they both opted to start JaMarcus Russell (who led LSU to the same record in 2006 as we had in 2007 BTW) over Flynn even though it cost them certain National Titles.

If only Nick Saban and Les Miles knew as much as rantards like roygu and Al Bundy, LSU would have won 5 consecutive National Titles with Matt Flynn at the helm.

what about his last 152 in practice?

Miles belief is you practice how you play... says it all the time and that is the best policy to go by

I see him getting more carries this year...they'll have more ways to feed him the rock this year

I don't think he is partcularly a weapon worth using in a scrimmage... all of his stuff is simple for the most part and relies on YAC
