Embarrassed and disgusted with this broken "justice system" and perpetual culture of corruption.

Those who pervert the system for their gain in this lifetime at the expense of others will have to be judged in the afterlife.

"I want to emphasize once again that the main reason I'm doing this is that I refuse to ruin the lives of two young men who have spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning," district attorney Jerry Jones told KNOE-TV.

Really???

What in the shite does this have to do with breaking the law and committing a felony?

How much did Saban(of course not the infallible, saban, I mean his bag men)have to pay for this load of crap?

Write your legislators and impeach this SOB, this shite shouldn't be happening in our state, pulling strings like these in our territory?

It's time for ACTION

I can't wait to forward this to USA Today, The Wall St. Journal, ESPN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, etc.

Louisiana is the prison capital of the world. We have more inmates behind bars per capita than anyplace else. I'm all-for dialing down the number of youths that go to prison, but for these two to get off the hook because they play football is unconsciable. Nobody in LA gets a free pass, not even if you spend years working with the FBI, CIA, and DEA (*cough* Barry Seal).

Jerry Jones should be audited by the IRS to determine whether he's accepted money, an ethics charge should be brought against him to the LA Bar, and he

Couldn't agree more. Glad some of us still have the courage to give a damn, and aren't jaded by this corrupt, corrosive judiciary system.

If we can't draw the line here and make this DA pay for such a brazen display of favoritism, kickbacks, and total rejection of equal protection under the constitution, than we are just as bad as they are.

All it takes for evil men to succeed is good men standing idly by. We have to take accountability for letting decisions like this stand without putting up a fight. We have to draw the line and fight for our rights back.

It's for the people, by the people. I'm sharing this news link with everyone I know, and hopefully someone with law background will challenge this ruling as unconstitutional.

I don't care if it takes the rant calling the DA's number over and over until they have to cut the phone line off, enough is enough

Five term DA who ran unopposed this last election. By the time he completes his fifth term, he'll have been in the elected office of DA of Ouachita's 4th District (I believe) for 30 years.

I believe he will have earned full retirement benefits. Meaning once he retires, he will still make the same amount of money every year as he made during his last term as DA.

So this means that if you're a hard working, talented athlete, you can run all over north Louisiana with stolen guns and drugs with impunity.

Should we be shocked? DA says lack of evidence. Really? The cop didn't find a bag of weed and 2 guns? One of which is stolen. What a joke!!!

If players are paid to sign with schools, their parents get taken care of, etc. - you can bet greasing the pal of a politician isn't a problem at all.

What happened to the other two guys in the car? They were in handcuffs for a while and then set free. Only Cam and Hootie went to the PoPo.

DA's can do what ever they want unless the defendants have adequate representation.

Years ago a LEO asked if he could search my vehicle. I said no. He said he didn't need my permission....damn, why ask then? I had to get an attorney because he found a loritab in the back floorboard.
Charges were dismissed but the arrest for "drugs" not a pill I was able to show a prescription for, but an arrest for possession of a controlled substance will always be on my record. Try getting past Human resources with that on your record.
If the cop is an a-hole you will forever have an arrest record regardless of guilt or innocence.

I don't understand your logic. Are you saying the other two guys took the charge? What does this have to do with the fact that someone broke the law?

The other two guys were not arrested. That's why the DA was forced to drop charges. As for the dumb arse statement about air conditioning etc ....wtf. I have no clue.
