Large cash transaction.

Sad day for Louisiana legal integrity.

Jones' son just graduated from law school at LSU. Pretty sure he doesn't have an agenda

I guess with this DA landscapers ought to get a free pass all the time due to their work and sweat in the garden.

So he is straight-up saying he is giving them favorable treatment because they are football players. Pretty bold.

Exactly. I had to double check that I didn't mistakenly click on The Onion when I read the quote from the DA.

Good move. No one was hurt. I'm sure they learned a valuable lesson. Don't care for Bama, but don't want to see these young men's live ruined.

Did Saban at least take the time to drop off the briefcase of cash or did he just leave that to an intern?

What about this guy?

Im sure you don't care about him, because he broke the law and isn't good at football.

Then these individuals proceeded to frick it up and break the law with serious charges. I wish they were held to the same standards as everyone else in Monroe. I have plenty of buddies who've been arrested for simple poss, dwi, and never had a chance for their charges to drop.

They sure did. They learned as long as they are good at football they get special treatment.

There are so many people that have their lives "ruined" for much less all because they aren't high profile.

They also had a chance to not ruin their lives by not breaking the law but again let's overlook that because they are good at football.

this is the same DA that didn't have a problem with ruining the lives of other young men arrested for drugs in Monroe. He absolutely railroaded a teen who killed a girl in a drunk driving accident. While these aren't remotely similar offenses, Jerry Jones routinely parades the guy around to local high schools to make an example out of him. After the convict gives a long and emotional speech, Jones walks up and points to the con and says "This is what will happen if you drink or use drugs in my city". that is unless you are a hometown darling football star. I would hate to affect the lives of two of the most privileged individuals to ever live in Monroe. Par for the course for TPOS Jerry Jones

There is no way that comment is legit, and no, I'm not researching it, because I really don't care that much about these kids.

They are undoubtedly on a Landon Collins type of path.

Now, if the Devall kid put himself in harm's way, I would be surprised and disappointed.

On the very outside chance that comment is legit, people in that parish should be upset and bothered enough to take action.

Sounds like the Missouri football team threatened to not play if these boys didn't go free.

Wow, this means athletes can commit a crime and go free.
