I can't wait to forward this to USA Today, The Wall St. Journal, ESPN, The Washington Post, The New York Times, etc.

Louisiana is the prison capital of the world. We have more inmates behind bars per capita than anyplace else. I'm all-for dialing down the number of youths that go to prison, but for these two to get off the hook because they play football is unconsciable. Nobody in LA gets a free pass, not even if you spend years working with the FBI, CIA, and DEA (*cough* Barry Seal).

Jerry Jones should be audited by the IRS to determine whether he's accepted money, an ethics charge should be brought against him to the LA Bar, and he should be immediately removed from the DA's office.

Doesn't surprise me. I went to Rx School in Monroe and every time I got a speeding ticket I would call the DA's office and ask to have it dismissed. I think they pulled 4 tickets for me while I was there.

There is no way that comment is legit, and no, I'm not researching it, because I really don't care that much about these kids.

So multiple news outlets just made up a quote? Naive much?

I'm not checking multiple news outlets, and I think that comment is so outrageous, that anyone who wouldn't question it is naive

Yea, no law abiding citizens ever grew up working and sweating.......what a slap in the face to all hard working teens who miraculously managed to live clean.
I guess all the drug and gun cases he prosecuted till now involved, silver spoon fed, white collar perps.

So, if we get rid of the Air Conditioning in the DA's office, he will convict more criminals?

It's 2016 -this is unacceptable behavior on the part of an elected official and this comment should go viral.

Sweet! I've been a manual laborer since 18, working mostly outside, sweating. Glad to know I can do whatever I want now in Monroe!
