It will be Watson or Mcaffrey.

McAffrey is great, but like Fournette, he is gonna have a tough time duplicating last year's #'s. They only return 2 offensive lineman and are replacing their QB.

If Miles keep giving the ball to LF in a predictable (hard headed way) like last year neither LSU will be in the play offs not LF will win the Heisman.

He said on Mike and Mike this morning (I know),
that he expects LSU in the playoffs with Florida State, Clemson, and Ohio State. So he isn't trying to be too unbiased.

How you can have 2 from the ACC blows my mind.

well at one point like halfway into last year he was the runaway winner where there was nobody close and he didn't even get invited to NY, right? he also easily had a better year than the winner on an individual level

Sad thing is the Heisman is more of a popularity award and has shite to do with who is the best football player.
98% of the time it goes to a player going to the National Champ Game.
not really

If you swap performances in the BAMA LSU game with Henry LF wins last year

Once again, see Alabama. A more diversified offense will cause ypc to go up

Yet LF averaged nearly a yard more per carry than Henry?

Coker had 3 more passing attempts per game than Harris.
So don't let the talking tards confuse you. Their offense was no more "diverse" it was simply a little more effective since Coker completed 67ish percent of his throws (compared to 54ish for Harris). 65-67 seems like a reasonable completion percentage to expect out of Harris for this year.

As for the topic. Winning means everything. Henry had less yards per carry.. less yards per game. Less 200 yard games. more games under 100.

If we're in the playoffs, LF is in New York.

We are going undefeated this year, LF WILL be going to NY as a finalist at the bare minimum. I think the difference this year is that we beat Bama with LF going for 150+ yards and we will not have the November slide we had this past year.

If you are picking out of the SEC and ACC as to who would have the best shot to get 2 in ACC is the best bet. Better chance that FSU and Clemson winner will be undefeated and the other only having the one loss than say LSU/Bama. The only other way I see the SEC getting two in is if Tenn and Bama win every game and split the two against each other in very close games.

At least this year with so many other players there will be significantly less media fatigue for Fournette. Last year people got sick of hearing about him.

I know a lot of people care about this and I would like to see him get it because it brings a lot of credibility and money to the program but I will bet LF will gladly give up the Heisman for the Natty.

Fournette is the favorite. If we've to the final 4, he's winning it. If we went last year he would've won it.

LSU would have needed to win the game. It's supposed
to be about the best player not best team.

The award isnt about the best player anymore.

Its about who's team made it the farthest and pick the star from that team.

Funny...I don't see the media offering any other players money to sit out the season. He's the best player in college football..... playoffs or not.

On top of that...if he would have been eligible for the draft last year...I would bet money he would have been drafted ahead of Henry.

Yeah, I understand what he's saying, but not many players have a better chance than Fournette. So saying "No Chance" is just really dumb IMO...
