Remember that we will have one extra game unless lightning gets in the way. That will be quite a few more yards even if we pass more. One less game last year hurt his stats.

Dude Les' teams hold offensive records at LSU

The only game in LSU history in which they didn't cross the 50 yard line in an entire half?

The only team in LSU history to win the Sec championship without gaining a single first down in an entire half?

The only SEC team to not score over 20 points in any game against Alabama in the last 5 years in 6 games against that same team?

First team to get shutout by Arkansas in 2014 since their last shutout in 2006? They had no shutouts in 8 years until LSU, and Fournette didn't have a single carry in that game.

The only team in LSU history to rank 90 or worse amongst all teams in FBS in passing offense 6 out of the last 7 years of LSU football?

It's so bad, that it's an anomaly if LSU ranks average amongst all passing offenses in the NCAA. They have more receivers drafted into the NFL than any other school in that time span. Don't tell me about the QB, there are teams with qbs that never get a chance at the nfl who do just fine with far lesser talent.

I'm so sorry you can't see the elephant in the room. Watch other games besides LSU. There are plenty of teams that have drastically changed their offenses in that time.

Oh so you only pass in football? Imagine that. But let me guess, you'd rather let an injured qb completing 50% percent of his passes pass more instead of giving it to the best player in the country

Injured? Who is injured? Depends on how many passes he's attempted. If he's only thrown 8 passes through 3 quarters, then I'd say ragging on him about a 50% completion percentage isn't really fair, especially if the throwing situations are all on 3rd down which are easy for defenses to read.

For LF to do well against bama, LSU must have a passing game. If LSU does not pass well, then bam will focus on the run, and shut it down.

and the only thing that will take carries away from LF this year will be the emergence of Guice

This, and Guice is capable of it too. He'll clearly be the one carrying the rock next year.

The emergence of a passing game would do it too, but I can't blame the coaching staff for focusing on a strength. Yes, it's often said that defenses can just stack the box but it's forgotten that they have to do so and usually lose anyway.

I have hope that cam Cameron in year 3 with Harris will provide some efficiency and wiggle room from the standard 11 yards wide pile smash Fournette plays.
