Everybody wants a new coach. Who?

Texas-Charlie Stron. lol
USC-Lane Kiffin and Steve Sark. lol
Nebraska-Bill Callahan. lol
Tenn-Lane Kiffin and Derick Dooly. lol
Florida-Will Muchamp. lol
Michigan-Brady Hoke. lol

Everybody bitches but its not always greener. Im disgusted too but calm the frick down. I agree the gameplan looks like shite but we weren't gonna be good this year anyway. Now if we dont contend next couple of years then we can go crazy. Les loves LSU so at least give him a little respect for all he's done for us

No lol about this one. He is cleaning that mess up and in a few years they are going to be strong again.

So you listed schools who made bad hires? Way to strengthen your narrative. The SEC has passed Miles by deal with it.

So because there's a chance for failure, we should stick with status quo. Sounds like Les Miles' offensive philosophy.

Texas A&M - Sumlin
Auburn - Gus Malzahn
Ole Miss - Hugh Freeze
Mississippi State - Dan Mullen
Alabama - Nick Saban
Kentucky - Mark Stoops
Florida State - Jimbo Fisher

you cite situations that didn't work, why not cite situations that did?

He loves the paycheck he receives from LSU. Don't get confused.

The AD couldn't fire Miles if he wanted to, so it's a moot point.

Changes are going to have to be made, though. Again, we are not going to simply "age" from what's on the field right now to a championship calibre team. Something is terribly broken.

But your point is well taken. After seeing other schools' growing pains in the hiring process, I shutter at what could happen to us. Auburn and the Landmass programs really seemed to hit it out of the park, though. What are the fricking odds of that.

Exactly. It's why I hate the "who's available" argument. It's an ostrich way of dealing with the problem.

will you fricking jackasses quit using this bullshite? "durrr it could be worse"

Accept mediocrity because we could screw the hire up? OK thanks pal, we'll hold tight.

He's well compensated, he's not exactly donating his time for the good of school. He's paid like an elite coach and results are far from it.

texas- first year under strong, long term cancerous problems in the program (LSU is heading this way)
USC- sanctions
Nebraska- demographic shift of power in football, no where near the same situation as here.
Tennessee- let fat phil stay too long, similar to nenbraska in a bad talent state
Florida- more comparable to LSU, they made the wrong hire. They hired a dc.
Michigan- has been a has been since the 90s

very few of those teams are even comparable to LSU, the best one is probably Texas. They have a fertile recruiting ground, they let a coach that was good hang on for way too long, but lol at you for laughing at strong in year one.

kind of with you, but if he replays this shite show next year, it damns him. It'll validate his unwavering, hard-headedness and indicate that nothing will change moving forward.

Fire Les this year? No fricking way!

I truly hope he adapts in some fashion.

Waited too long and this was the result. Also Strong is rebuilding a mess.

quote:

USC-Lane Kiffin and Steve Sark. lol

Sanctions and they will be back under Sarkisian. It will take time.

quote:

Nebraska-Bill Callahan. lol

Fired a coach too early (3 or 4 years in) not 10 years in and Nebraska doesn't have the talent base LSU does.

quote:

Florida-Will Muchamp. lol

Muschamp won 11 games just two years ago. As bad as he is, Meyer put them in an awkward position.

quote:

Tenn-Lane Kiffin and Derick Dooly. lol

Another example of a team that held onto their coach too long and made a stupid hire with poor local talent to help them.

quote:

Michigan-Brady Hoke. lol

Was the result of a stupid first hire and look at their AD. He's a moron.

All of those schools either waited too long to fire their coach, don't have the recruiting base that LSU does, or have idiot ADs or a combination of all three.
