Not so, if LSU loses 6 games this year or any year he would be gone and that is fact.

Where does it say that in his contract? Where has any person who has the power to fire the head coach at LSU said that publicly? Or is it as simple as you don't know the meaning of the word fact?

Reminds me of Anthony Johnson was just double teamed a lot.

Both are examples of a refusal to accept reality.

Yes, it lined up perfectly for him. Due to an incompetent, lazy, emotional, athletic director, a gullible fan base, and an incredible PR campaign he managed to land a job he never would have been given consideration for otherwise.

Sad but 100% true.

Seems a little low after the turnaround he made last year. I know the Bama game is what ppl are pointing too but we almost won that thing and if not for some horrible calls by the refs it looked as thought we would have. Florida came down to two mistakes made on the field by players although the red zone play calling was bad. 81 just seems too low for a coach who's team took an awful start and ended up breaking multiple records and completely destroyed the heisman winner then had a great offseason with hires and recruiting.

What is concerning about the interim games, we played ZERO elite defenses where we won. Bama and UF are the only teams that LSU played last year with any defense. That's why the faux hire was so damn frustrating and yet Alleva did it without any research.
Got a snake oil salesmen radio host with a binder to sell the worse coach in Ole Miss history. This is an experiment at the most. I would say 3 years tops.

I'm an LSU fan period I don't choose my loyalties based on my opinion of the coach,I was a student when Archer and Hallman were coaching and I was just as big a fan then. I am not however going to sugar coat Ed Os record because he's our head coach and he's "one of us".

LSU's offensive performance vs alabam was offensive. Isn't that what we were trying to fix/move on from?

The florida game was an inexcusable loss. Period.

Ed O's team didn't really look and perform much better than Les's team early in the season.

What turnaround? LSU was favored in every game they played including the Florida game...and by a lot. Coach Peveto could have coached them to a 6-2 record last year. The teams remaining on the schedule were tailor made for LSU's O. LSU lost 2 games to 2 good teams at their place at the beginning. Hell, if Miles would have stayed I think LSU would have played in the Sugar Bowl. They would not have lost to Florida. Team had no focus during the Florida game.

We were favored against Bama? That's news to me and we were also favored in every game prior to him taking Over but were 2-2 having not faced a single ranked opponent and squeaking by jville st and moo st. Our offense went on to set multiple team and individual records. If you don't think 6-2 is improving over 2-2 vs a much tougher schedule you don't know what you're talking about.

O will beat 7-8 coaches on that list this year alone. He may not be the best, but he is much better than 81.

You're correct these ppl say there was no improvement lmfao. The offense went from 364 ypg to 456 ypg vs a tougher schedule we increased our win pct from .500 to .750 Etlings passer rating went from barely over 110 to 144. If these ppl can't see the improvement when it's that overstated an obvious then they either don't want to see it or they're just plain stupid. And he didn't lose the Florida game a blown coverage by a player and a player going the wrong way on the final play cost us that game.

The first person I hear bad mouthing coach O at the BYU game is getting punched in the throat. I'm about sick of negatigers. Biased, BS publications like this will have a negative impact on recruiting. There's at least five coaches on that list that lost to LSU last year after O took over...while we were in a state of flux. Most programs implode when a coach is fired mid-season. We beat all but one team that we were supposed to, and should have won against Florida.

I'm serious...be careful who you talk shite about O in front of while in Houston.

These lists are totally a form of click bait, and hardly worth the powder to blow them to football hell.

On paper it was a terrible hire. Not a mediocre one. Terrible.
So true. I think everyone who follows college football let out a collective "wtf" when he was announced as our head coach.

He's the perfect guy for an interim role. He can "rally the troops" and keep a team together with the kind of person he is. However, manning the ship is a completely different task at hand. Hopefully, he can put that stint at Ole Miss behind him, allow his coordinators to work their magic and put some good, winning seasons together and climb up that list.

Auburn played in the Sugar and Wisconsin the Cotton bowl, both were ranked in the top 15 by the end of the season and neither were at home. Like Florida we had the ball on with a chance to win at the end.

Fournette and later Guice broke the single game rushing record. Fournette could have easily set that last year vs Auburn and would have gone over 300 vs Syracuse if not for a questionable call.

He belongs at 81. Right now, everything is talk. It is up to him to improve his rating.
