I'm hoping we are only bunting that much to practice for the SEC tourney and Omaha when we will need it more. I hope and doubt we bunt that much in SEC play.

If you know you need to bunt in the SEC tourney and Omaha, then you need to do it consistently all year. A team can't change identity overnight.

I'm glad they learned a lesson in Omaha last year.

So, last year we were complaining about the team's lack of ability to lay down a bunt.

This year, the team is not only bunting well and moving runners, but a lot of those bunts are turning into hits. And now we are complaining that we are bunting too much.

The lineup top to bottom is putting together quality at-bats and doing their job. If you don't like good fundamental baseball, then you are not a baseball fan. Yes, I like to see the occasional ball leave the park, but I love the style of play I saw this week from the Tigers.

Might as well bunt They can't hit starting tithe the last half of last year. Especially again starting pitching. Do they have a hitting coach?

PM was on the radio with Jordy this morning, and I'm pretty sure that he said we were 11th in the SEC in SAC bunts. I'm too lazy to research this, but it shouldn't be a surprise. When we were winning championships with Gorilla ball, the rest of conference began adding to their weight rooms and loading up on steroids, I mean Creatine. UCLA wins a championship with a .248 team batting average, and it's small ball for everyone!

Today's game is small ball. Adapt or keep sucking in Omaha. Fly outs to the warning track dont help.

You must not have watched the CWS last year. If you had, you'd realize this is a GOOD thing. Of course, you didn't figure that out after we went 5-0 doing this, so.....

So you take a small dample size of a few games at the cws, and use te winner to determine the strategy for how we should play it? We won the sec tourney in a similar park with a different strategy. Miss st was in the title game without bunting all that much. 2013 was not even the 1st year in the neww ballpark. There have been 2 other teams that won titles there without that philosophy. Man everyone is overeacting to last seasons final 2 weeks

Probably not but you better be able to execute it if the situation arises.

Sure, in the 7th inning and later it comes in handy. The 1st and 2nd inning, not so much
