re: Andrew Stevenson lays out for a game-ending catch! - sportsfan
After watching all the crazy catches he made in college, that play was fairly routine for him. He is an amazing defensive outfielder. Congrats for making it to the show....

re: Adios Ginn - sportsfan
Ginn is a proven vet and he will most certainly contribute to the offense this season. But, it does seem like every practice report I read mentions him dropping passes. Hope he gets them all out of his system before the season starts. ...

re: Hess to the pen - sportsfan
I like that as well. I have a feeling Newman will be needed at some point in the championship series. Coming in to this game and shutting the door would be big for his confidence. I'd have a very short leash though. All that being said, Gilbert making a strong case for a CG. ...

re: Kramer is having a Brad Cresse CWS - sportsfan
Wouldn't call him a star, but he is definitely the catalyst on this team. He's a very streaky hitter and seems to get hits in bunches. Just a bad time to slump. ...

re: Kramer is having a Brad Cresse CWS - sportsfan
Brad Cresse drove home Theriot on a single to win CWS...try again
And was something like 0 for Omaha with a handful of foul tips until that at bat. I think you missed the OP's optimism...

How good is Grant Delpit? Very Is he LSU's next great safety? Yes I loved Jamal Adams, but watching Delpit this weekend will make me miss Adams a lot less. ...

re: How did Ed Paris look at safety? - sportsfan
IMO, Paris is not a nickel player. He'll provide adequate depth at safety, but there's just too many ridiculous athletes in the secondary that will overshadow him....

re: How did Ed Paris look at safety? - sportsfan
Didn't really notice Paris much, which could be good and bad. He didn't make any plays, but didn't get beat either. Delpit might have been the most impressive player on defense. Pardon the cliche, but the kid has a nose for the ball. He was flying around all over the field. ...

re: Is LSU hitting really that bad? - sportsfan
The Friday game against Georgia and Thursday game against Ole Piss inflate those stats a good bit. Where they are sturggling is timely hitting and situational hitting. ...

re: LSU commitment Landon Marceaux was brilliant, - sportsfan
From what I've heard, Louisiana is slowly getting with the times. I believe they did implement a rule this year regarding rest days. Don't really know the ins and outs of the rule, but a coach told me something about mandatory rest between outings based off of the number of pitches thrown. ...

re: It's not baseball season till tRant freaks out about a midweek game. - sportsfan
Positives, the ball is jumping off our bats. Top to bottom, this lineup can be dangerous. Also, nice to see Gilbert have a strong start (I would have liked to see him go one more, but I'm sure CPM had him on a pitch count). Negatives, Reynolds and Norman are supposed to be reliable out of the b...
