There was a number of rumors from friends of his and those within the LSU family that he went into a funk after that game.

I can only assume after his dismal performance against Alabama, again, and his demotion, he wasn't feel all that happy.

No more Jefferson/Lee.

No more Harris/Jennings.

Get ready for Brennan/Narcisse/Scott, which may make the first two look like Romper Room.

It's what we do.

Wouldn't be the first time that happened to a kid. I remember Mike Miley going undefeated up to the Alabama game, then dropping Alabama and Tulane in addition to Penn St in the Orange Bowl. Even though he was still the starting QB and would have been in his senior season, his inside circle at the time indicated that he was very down on himself and being a two-sport athlete decided to sign a pro-baseball contract. Despite McClendon installing the veer to match his talents for his senior year, he still was down on himself throughout spring practice and decided to take the baseball contract. Hated that the kid died so young.

Yeah but Lee or Matt also might have been able to complete a forward pass further than 5 yds AND they might not have thrown shovel passes directly at cj Mosely when he was looking straight at Mosely when he threw the shovel pass. How much shittier can you get?

Harris never got to chance to run an offense that fit him here.

Les and Cam tried to put him under center and that's not his strength. I'm willing to bet he has a solid year at NC with an actual offense guru in Fedora.

Jennings was just terrible.

The spring game offense we saw Canada run when McMillian was at QB is what Harris should have been running here. Zone reads/no huddle

Remember when Etling threw a TD pass to a TE against a cake team? This board went nuts

Lee did not lead that team, he just happened to be the qb. Games were never in any jeopardy because of the defense spotting the team an avg of 10 points per game(those 8 games). He got to bama and tossed ints like Mardi Gras beads against that defense. Thank goodness for that 2011 defense and tyrann mathieu's excellent season or we don't even see the championship game.

J. Lee Rivals #168 overall, #7 pro-style

2008

Jefferson Rivals #208 overall, #8 pro-style

2009

Shepard Rivals #7 overall, #1 dual-threat

2010

Z. Lee Rivals #217 overall, #9 pro-style

2013

Rettig Rivals #73 overall, #3 pro-style

Jennings Rivals #145 overall, #6 dual-threat

Etling Rivals #167 overall, #9 dual-threat

2014

Harris Rivals #99 overall, #5 dual-threat

I know the rankings can be wrong sometimes, but there's no way in hell that they are wrong this much. These are all Rivals250 guys. We're landing top of the line QBs, they just aren't getting better (Mettenberger being the exception) while on campus. Someone has to be accountable.

Sorry but those stats still look better than anything JJ did against Alabama on 1/9

Brandon Harris was a fine QB and could throw the ball as well as anyone. The problem was the Miles/Cameron scheme and lack of leadership

You're no better of a troll here on the rant than you are on the poli-board. Harris couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

I'm just glad you didn't try to defend Jeffersons horrid qb play. Lee at least completed a decent amount of passes. I mean, you cant have the #1 passer rating in the conference if your not any good.

OK 3 completions 2 INTs in 7 att with decent protection > 65% under constant pressure in your world
It's really not worth discussing any farther then

Holy crap dude you are literally trying to defend a QB that looked straight at an Alabama LB and shovel passed it directly at him .. Jefferson was beyond horrible. Not just in that game. He was mediocre at best.
