Key is doing fine. You idiots speculating about his career being over are miserable assholes. He'll be back in the summer

In all fairness this is a internet message board and there isn't any concrete information so people are going to speculate.
With that said, it's his personal business and like Coach O said, we should respect his privacy.
Whatever the truth is I hope he takes care of himself first and worries about football second.
I agree he's fine and will be back soon enough.

True. I think the speculation is going to continue as all of the facts aren't out yet. Give the young man some room, wish him the best and keep he and his family in your prayers. I am, because whatever it is isn't some sort if simple fix. It's requiring him to take a leave of absence from what will support him for a long time. All of my best to Key!

Eh.

These guys are just being fans who are speculating (albeit negatively). Not so sure they are miserable....its just being a fan to some.

On topic: the young man will be back and better for it.

Nope, Born and raised in the south. I know football is big in the south. I'm the biggest fan you'll come across. In the fall. I think it's laughable how much people care in the spring. Why does it matter who's running what drills in March? Wake me up when September rolls around.

Recruiting is the lifeblood of the program. Recruiting is year round, football is year round.

Ok so let the down votes begin. My brother is in the same circle as key and others. He will be back in August he failed a piss test for weed 2 times. O told him to go get his shite together his Mom and sister talked with him and to make his mother happy he "Key" is on a religious retreat. He promised his mom that he will get better and do better.

I can see this now before it's all said and done I will be the down vote king!! Lol story is true. We will see him in August. Yes this is a Alter account because I do not want to give away whom I am. Maybe I shouldn't even told y'all the truth.

Good luck Crane.. hope all it all works out for you.

Fwiw what you just posted is basically (sans the mother/sister angle) is what has been insinuated by media members in the know and even posters on this board.

I believe you.

Also same kind of thing a lot of people were whispering.... sounds like a good thing with very likely a possible positive outcome and a return to LSU football team.

There is more to the story I could post but I think it's to personal. And my brother would be pissed off at me if I aired it out. Just know he is good learned his lesson and feels regret. He is a great guy that's just growing up in college and wants to have fun. But it's hard when you have a spot light on you 24/7.

and it's usually the synthetic weed too. No clue why people would risk their career and health to smoke that shite.

I would venture to say at least 50% of ncaa football players have failed a piss test at some point. Usually when you hear there was a failed piss test or two, that means 3 or 4. (not saying that's the deal with Key but in general you're never going to get the hard detailed truth).

Right let them have a little fun. I doubt he was smoking like snoop dog. They are in college let them blow some steam off. They are pressured all the time.

Why can't stepping away for a bit of time for 'personal reasons' be enough?

We're all hoping for the best. Speculation doesn't help anything and if the time away works...Awesome!

that's one of the reasons i said drug issues (which i figure is weed alone) was not the worst option at all

our 2 biggest guys who got kicked off for "drugs" (RP and TM7) really got in trouble for attitude. the drugs were just secondary and a convenient excuse to cut ties. if key isn't rolling around BR literally acting like he owns it, he should be fine and "getting his shite together" is much more likely

well "personal reasons" means something

i just listed the 4 most likely "personal reasons" and ranked them by my opinion of the severity for Key and LSU

not just fun, but many football players, especially pros, smoke for the pain relief

I'd much rather my son smoke weed for pain relief than opioids

His off the field attitude is nothing like them guys. He has a very calm demeanor
