Yes, I know. But legalization would logically lead us down that path I'd imagine. Obviously it would be a slow-moving process.

So you think an athlete under the influence of an intoxicant can perform at his full potential?

No. But I also don't think he's stupid enough to get stoned before a goddamn football game.

Being half serious, being able to smoke weed with no consequences is part of the reason we lose some players to Bama. If TM7 played at Bama, he would've never been suspended. Although, it was the best thing that could've happened to him in terms of his path in life.

Lawrence Taylor called for you. He sounded angry.

That isn't a complete thought. But yes, weed can make you feel lethargic. Should we go through the side effects of alcohol use and abuse?

My cut/paste partially failed, but you got my idea. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree that alcohol is infinitely worse.

Guiding cannabis principles as a current grandfather:
1) It's illegal, don't ruin your life
2) Don't ever drive if you do happen to partake.
3) Don't ever go to work if you do happen to partake.
4) If you do continue over long periods of time, it will debilitate you on multiple levels.

If you disagree, I respect that. This was my code, my code for my kids and also as a granddad.

With regards to #4, look no further than Willie Nelson. No telling what he might have accomplished had he decided to "just say no".

My absolute favorite singer of all time...well at least Texas country singing! Touche', one of the best entertainers to ever live in my book.

But do you or I really know what's going on in Willie's personal life or for that matter what has gone on for a long, long, time?

Pains me to be critical of Willie, but his violation of each of "my suggested principles" have taken a toll on him as well as making him what he is, i.e., cool.

Just had to throw some shade towards the rules!

Yea man, I follow Willie and his boys on Instagram; he seems like he is doing A-ok! And I'd roast one with him any day.

Sidenote: my buddy is the head tennis pro at Maui country club, gives lessons to Woody Harrelson and a few others. Says Willie doesn't swing a racket, but golfs all the time and is super friendly. The man is a national treasure in my book.

On point: Arden is being given some time to sort out some life issues (we should all be so lucky), and I fully expect him back. Hope he finds what he is searching for...
