I don't think we should be trying to compare hot chicks...

While the PNW doesn't have the fatties like some of the women in the south or midwest, we also don't have the hotties that you do see in the south, arizona, or california...

The average chick in Seattle is pretty f'ing average. We have a lot of great things in this amazing city, unfortunately, hot women isn't one of them... (but I disagree with the prior poster about the huge fatties...)

the women are DEFINITELY thinner here. it's not even close really. there aren't nearly as many attractive ladies as there are in the south though. i've been here for around 6 months and i haven't seen one woman that i would call hot in that time frame

Do you think you can beat Appalacian State? I would say yes. Anything can happen. We'll be there...I can guarantee you that.

"..your young QB will be playing in Husky Stadium..."

Um, sorry to burst your bubble, however, while it is an absolutely beautiful stadium with the views of the Puget Sound, etc., I have been to SEC spring games with more noise, distractions, intensity etc. than the 2 games that I have attended in Husky Stadium. There is no venue in the entire Pac 10 that can come close to a mid-level SEC or Big 12 game intensity levels. You'll see when you come in 2010. Jordan Jefferson has played in more intense environments in high school, believe me.

Having said that, I do believe that UW is on their way back. Great new coach, an experienced QB returning, etc. SS will start bringing the Cal kids back to UW. It is a great school, easy sell to attract the West Coast elite athletes to sign, etc.

Ouch, harsh. Yeah, the south does have unbelievable football experiences. That is something I wish was different about the PNW. I would rather the populace was football crazy than whatever the hell it is they are. I grew up in central Washington, so I don't fit in very well with Western Washington (although Seattle is a million times more fun to live in than a medium sized farming/college town).

Husky Stadium can get very loud. Which games were you at? The fan base has been pretty demoralized in recent years so it is not as loud as it used to be (too many fans sitting on their hands as our dawgs get pummeled). However, it still can get loud as hell during big games (Ohio State two years ago for example).

All of us up here hope it one day returns to what it used to be:

"Note: The loudest stadium sound ever recorded was actually 133.6 dbs in Husky Stadium at the University of Washington. It was Sept 19, 1992 vs. Nebraska. It is not the reported "official" record, because ESPN recorded a sound of 130.2, and that is the official recording. However, a local suburban broadcast which documented the husky team that year recorded the 133.8 dbs. Although we can't be certain how accurate that recording is, it deserves a mentioning as the unofficial record. "

I was a young kid but this is one of the greatest Husky Stadium games of all time:
