"With Jake Locker playing healthy, anything is possible but LSU has just too much firepower for a newly renovated U-Dub team."

Agree. Like I previously said, Locker healthy means we can stay with you for a half or so. Then, most likely, LSU's depth will take over and LSU will cruise in the 2nd half. Our starters are decent. Our backups are pathetic right now....

Your stadium and noise and gameday experience used to be one of the best in the country, but all I've seen for the past 5+ years is empty seats and the ashes of a once special atmosphere. For UW to have a snowball's chance, that stadium is going to have to be packed and the fanbase is going to have to be way energized/crazy like your old days; I know I'll get shot on here for saying it, but even if you play good and lose with a good crowd, it will be a positive thing for the direction on re-building your program back to being a power (aka, a "moral victory"). A win would be icing on the cake, but I just don't think it will happen, at least not this year. I'll be there w/ my dad, as my neph is a newly minted C-17 pilot stationed near there so we have a place to crash.....looking forward to the trip!

Thanks for the highlight video link - I didn't realize just how good of a runner Locker is. I've read that Sark is going pro-set (like USC's offense); does that mean the read-option stuff, which is what we see Locker running a lot of in the video, is out the window? Or is Sark going to have some designed run plays to take advantage of Locker's strengths?

Sark has installed the USC style offense with a few tweaks to take advantage of Jake's athleticism. However, just like USC did for Mark Sanchez, there will be a good amount of roll outs, bootlegs and moving the pocket around.

The talent around Jake this year is better than anything he has had the last few years but it is young and inexperienced.

Did we watch same defense last year?
I mean LSU has not been very good at generating sacks past few years

Until they step on field you can say LSU defense is awesome but in reality your going on blind faith

He is a really tough quarterback and has never been taken out by an aggressive defense.

He missed the 2nd half of the OSU game and the Cal the year before last because of a freak helmet to helmet collision where he dropped his head at the same time the safety did and got his bell rung. He was cleared to play that week but the coaches kept him out just in case.

Last year he was lead blocking (Ty is a moron) on a running play and broke his throwing thumb throwing a block and missed the rest of the season.

So, with the exception of two freak accidents, Locker has never been knocked out of a game.

USC safety nails Locker but he gets up and keeps playing:

This is the freak accident where Locker gets hit in the head (sorry I could not find a better video clip of it):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txSlG-iLFU0

He even survives an Ohio State thug trying to break his neck lol:

The point is, Locker is tough as hell.

Anything is possible. Washington will be under rated this year and LSU might be over rated (time will tell on that one). Washington comes in with nothing to lose and LSU has nothing to gain... fans will take Washington lightly, lets hope the players do not.

Washington had some good talent last year just not a complete team. If you fill in some holes Washington can be a good team.

Certainly not predicting an upset but it certainly can happen.

I disagree. LSU has alot to gain respect wise...opening on the road (across country), national TV, pac-10 opponent, etc. This will be a statement game.

+1 after last year they will not take anyone lightly.
There will be a world of difference in intensity across the board.
These guys are focused..

Playing in Husky stadium will be like playing at say... Mississippi State, but less cows; I hear the women in Washington are fit.

As a veteran of the US Navy, I can state that I've spotted some of the biggest women I've ever seen in the state of Washington.

At least they were around NAS Whidbey Island. I once saw a woman so huge she had to squeeze in through a double door. I spewed my beer in shock before I could help myself.

I feel Crowton will hand the rock for the first quarter and a half. If the pups are smart they will stack the box and it could be close at half. The second half will show the diff. in the 2 programs though, LSU will still have plenty left in the tank with the depth they have.

"For 2008 Mississippi has claimed the title of fattest state for the third consecutive year, while Colorado repeats as the leanest. Delaware rose the most places in the rankings over last year, while California dropped the most, according to a new analysis by CalorieLab, Inc."

"Most Obese States

West Virginia and Alabama remained as the second and third fattest states this year. The four states of Mississippi, West Virginia, Alabama, and Louisiana have obese populations that exceed 30 percent over a three-year average and two-thirds of the citizens of Mississippi and West Virginia were either overweight or obese by CDC standards in 2007."

Dude, You live in Washington State I take it? Drive over to Whidbey Island, tell me if you don't see some heifers.

I have no idea why obese women tend to congregate near naval bases/air stations. But I can only relate my experiences and swear to the truth.

And while we're on this subject, do you want to compare cheerleaders and flag girls between the schools? Most opposing fans come away impressed with ours.

Lets see some UW girls!

BTW You're actually bagging on us for being ahead 29.5-24.5 in the fat index?

If any of you care, Ted Miller from ESPN posted a "spring wrap-up" about Udub today:

Navy guy, I will see if I can find some good pictures.
