I think if Frey and/or Jones struggle at 1st base, Brown can handle 1st and Larson can move into a corner outfield spot. I was impressed with Larson's power during fall scrimmages and Brown can contribute anywhere they use him.

The elephant in the room is named Ruddell. All he does is mash in the fall but does he have a role in the spring?

Zeb showed out last fall and spring too as a true freshman. Excited to see him get some PT this season.

He was freaking out when Luke hill entered the portal but ended up at ole miss
D1 baseball does a solid job of covering college baseball and considering the options you had before it is really impressive what they do
Aggies were the first to use the portal to get to Omaha anyway so I don’t know why he went after Jay the way he did
Jay already had connections to get Skenes while he was at Arizona
Tenn and fsu tampered with Tommy tanks way before lsu got in the picture
Hopefully they fix their streaming issues before Texas plays lsu in Minute Maid

I think you have me confused with someone else about going after Jay. I talk to Jay all the time. The Waldrep stuff came from his inner circle, I.e. he would likely end up at LSU. Then, Florida swooped in. I don’t remember remotely freaking out about Luke Hill.

Nicholastiger is someone you should never respond to. He made an arse of himself last season by quitting on the team before the postseason got started. And he continues to say stupid crap and feign knowledge where there is none.

But remember when D1 ranked Louisville ahead of LSU in their 2022 list of college baseball programs? A program that hasn’t won anything ever?

We remember.

Im not doubting you talked to him, im just a little surprised jay would name his rotation and a freshmen starting outfielder in the fall. He usually lets that stuff play out. Maybe im wrong

Zeb did not play in the Spring. He was redshirted.

Kendall don’t make any judgment on the lsu fan base when it comes to anything posted by that clueless moron Nicolas. He’s the laughing stock of the main baseball posters here

Not to sound crass, but I’d like to see Jake brown developed as the dangerous lefty he is instead of developing as an OF. Doing both ALA Guidry doesn’t really let you master one or the other.

You make a good point about Brown but right now it would hard not to give him a shot in the OF. His BA was very good in the fall and he has tools in the OF. His speed is above average and has a strong arm.

Scuba mentioned Larson. Don't sleep on this guy. He has really good pull side power. He is going to play this year and I think will be one of our more dangerous hitters as a sophomore.

Why ?

I doubt he does both this year. . He’s a better hitter/athlete than he is a pitcher and they don’t really need more LHP

The tampering accusation was about Hurston Waldrep.

I must have gotten his tampering tweet mixed up with the “Montgomery leaving the PAC 12 is bad for baseball” stance that happened this summer.

The Waldrep tweet was keep an eye on Baton Rouge, and that was after his inner circle told me to expect him to end up there. Nothing more, nothing less. On Montgomery, I said it was bad for West Coast baseball, which it is. Just look at how much those schools are already getting dominated in some instances in recruiting, even at some HS power programs. Of course, some fans got mad at me for saying not to assume he’s going to Miss St, and then he ends up at A&M.

See a lot of you at Minute Maid in a few months.

I don’t disagree, but the portal and NIL have created a monster with all sports that has permanently changed college athletics forever. It is what it is now.
