Saw this tweet from Kendall Rogers stating that the weekend rotation is expected to be Hurd-Holman-Jump, Jake Brown will start in outfield and Pearson confirmed moved to 2B full time

I think this sets up well. Pearson playing second makes more room for a very crowded outfield without sacrificing a bat. I think Jake Brown will see time on the mound; he pitched well in the fall scrimmages I was able to attend

Will Jake Brown play the Paxton Kling Role this year? Start in Outfield early in the season for development then re access come conference play?

I guess that would depend on if Brown gets injured like Kling did.

Hope they will still be able to give Frey some quality playing time.

Well done with that lineup prediction. You are right on. I think the biggest takeaway for me with this team is that Jay has a ton of fantastic options on the mound. LSU will have a strong rotation and it will be able to mix and match with anyone. I'd look for Justin Loer to be the 2024 version of Riley Cooper.

Solid take. If Bear cant figure out the curve Frey gets the ABs.

I love how your browse this site and comment on predictions - nothing like first hand insight from one of the best in the business.

Thanks for the work you do!

I still can't believe we are gonna have a 99mph lefty that can give us multiple innings coming out of the pen

We won’t score as many runs as last season, but we for dang sure won’t give up as many game 2 and game 3 runs. That’s not saying we won’t score any runs at all, we have a solid hitting lineup. It just means that our pitching will be great all weekend long.

Im skeptical that Jay told kendall that jake brown was a starter and that the rotation was set

Jay has been highly complimentary of Jake Brown from day one. I definitely thought pitching would be the way for him to see the field initially but starting in the OF is a very real proposition for him this spring. Now, he still has to earn it on the field but it definitely sounds like Jay will give him every opportunity as a position player.
