He pretty much lives with the girl and her parents at this point. It is her parents that have more influence on him than anything, even his own parents. The same parents that helped Lacy and Sentimore get eligible when it seemed impossible. This is the area that Nick has been working on over the past few years. These are the "friends" he speaks of having in La in all of his interviews. People that can help him further his goals of getting some of the best players out of the state year in and year out.

I don't think we can put Miles in the same category as Saban from a recruiting standpoint.

Why? Because Scout and Rivals say so? LSU isn't Boise State.....they don't win with heart and ridiculous preparation. They have elite talents all over the field every single year. Teams like Boise win with lesser talent.....LSU recruits studs, Les knows what he's doing.

Alabama isn't Harvard.....almost ANYBODY who cares about their school work can get in. Hasn't the gf's basketball scholarship been proven false? I just think people are reading WAY too much into a kid choosing a certain school over another.

Les' teams are very athletic and usually a bit unpolished, but particularly motivated to win the game against bama because of the negative history saban brings. Saban may end up with 12 to 14 first round draft picks from 09 to 13, and most were 5 star players.

the girl is getting some type of financial benefits. you think her parents are sending her to ala. and paying out of state prices compared to LSU instate tuition and fees. no way.

A scholarsip to be an athletic trainer is allowing her to "escape from Loseriana" as the trainer herself would say

All of you guys are right - no person has ever wanted to go to an out-of-state school unless them or their family is somehow being bribed.

He likes Alabama better than he likes LSU. Patrick Peterson liked LSU better than he liked Florida. Was he being bribed? What about 'Ego' Ferguson? Was that bribery? Get over it and stop being babies. Every recruit that goes to another school that we want isn't being bribed. Is it that hard to believe that someone would prefer one school to another?

Also consider that according to every third party I've ever seen Alabama is a superior academic school to LSU. Princeton, US News, etc. Is education relevant to him?

The next month will be interesting. Landon will be pushed by family, pulled by his girl and fam, pestered by reporters, built up by Bama fans, torn down by LSU fans, and I wouldn't be surprised to see boosters/politicians from both fanbases get involved (if they haven't already). It will be a worthwhile read down the road when everything comes out (and this is not to say that I think something dirty is going on... just that there are a lot of parts in motion from all sides).

Alabama is not superior to LSU academically. Regardless of who says what on a list.

Stupid arguement on academics. Universities are just doors, they don't make individual.

Other than jackson, those other guys have gone to schools that have won a bcs trophy more recently. If we win you will see less kids leaving and continue to pull top players from other states. Db isnt a positiin i worry ab. Louisiana is full of capable athletes.

I wouldn't be delusional enough to say that Collins wasn't pulled in by Saban's egotistical BS and his likely very negative recruiting tactics regarding LSU and Louisiana.( thats not to say that Bama doesn't have some positives, too ) However, to say that Collins would have chosen to go somewhere else and the g/f would have followed is bull.

Her family apparently hates LSU. She has consistently made anti-LSU statements online and has publicly indicated her preference for Bama for quite a while now.Ironically, his older sister supposedly dated Lacy, and now she is dating Collins. The mom helped Lacy and Sentimore take "summer classes" at John Curtis and somehow claw their way back to eligibility when they likely couldn't pass 8th grade English or Math. How often do girlfriends go on recruiting trips and then magically get athletic trainer scholarships with out of state tuition fees waived? ( I'm not going to go into the new Mercedes convertible, although the coincidences do run deep )

The g/f and her mother had a WHOLE LOT to do with Collins choosing Bama. Anyone who says otherwise is either blind, dumb, or a gump.

I'm not on anyone's side, Alabama is just a better university than LSU. I hate Alabama, doesn't mean I can't be objective about their academic rankings.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that RollTigers will be one of those guys that say, "I don't care who wins, I just hope it's a good game," tomorrow night.
