Yes. He got taken by one of the few teams that could still meet his number. It happens. There was still hope, but the break overnight provided a lot of opportunity for negotiation.

ETA: And now Pearson was just grabbed.

Damn. Not a good day so far. Both he and Enlow will never step foot on campus.

Any of these kids being picked right now have already agreed to a # or they wouldn't be picked. Kids who stand firm on 1st or 2nd round money plummet in the draft.

Enlow just put something on twitter about being part of the twins org. That means they made a handshake deal at some point between last night and this morning. He gone.

Scary is Twin took Lewis number 1 because Greene and McKay wanted the max slot amount. Twins wanted to save some money to get better players later.

I expect at least 4 guys will sign so Enlow and Pearson just being drafted doesn't surprise me, they are gone.

I always had the feeling Pearson wasn't serious about going to school. Him doing draft workouts instead of playing in the prospect league was telling as well.

That's called due diligence. People do it all the time and still go to school.

He didn't use LSU for leverage.

Pearson and Enlow were rough, but otherwise we're okay so far...

There were also reports from Cardinals area scouts that signability for Enlow would be an issue.
