TTU doesnt put WRs into the NFL though
Danny Amendola
Wes Welker

both undrafted
Quinn- "man, I'm going to go to Lubbock and follow in the footsteps of Danny Amendola and Wes Welker in hopes I can catch on a team after going undrafted"..................
......says no WR ever.
all those years, all those prolific offenses.....3 guys, 2 who went undrafted? 1 who hasn't really done anything(Amendola).
shite he might as well go to SMU if he's going to go to TTU

Much easier to drive to Lubbock than to Clemson from LC

It's still Lubbock.

I don't see much difference, Clemson looks like it's straight interstate, to Lubbock you have to take US 84 and if you fly, Atlanta is a closer to Clemson than DFW is to Lubbock.

How many of those guys were 4*/5* prospects?

even more reason he'll never step foot on TTU's campus
the kid has won all his life from Little league world series to baseball state championships at barbe, to playing in the 5A football championship last season. He;s not going to TTU.

Noil Dupree Quinn and I'm happy

It's a two way street big LE, LSU hasn't gone cold on him. They are looking at other options at WR because their WR philosophy is being dictated by Cameron to Henry
Quinn is looking at his options because he wants to go to an offense that throws the ball. It has to be a fit for the school and the kid too.
TTU has a history with WRs like Quinn.
I am not saying he won't go to LSU, I don't know what he will do. I was told right now they want three WR in this class. That can easily change. Long time until NSD
FTR I want Quinn at LSU. I love the kid's ability and attitude, I just won't be surprised if he goes somewhere else. Especially if it is a big 12 school that throws it 60 times a game.
Agree. Coach Miles has always preferred the "prototypical" Pro WR, and I think Coach Cam is on the same page, and that is being dicated to Coach Henry. They are looking for Ruben Randle and Dwayne Bowes, not Austin Collies or Brandon Stokelys, regardless of how good they may be.
As much as LF is a priority to LSU, Trey is a priority at his position to other offenses. It is all about the fit, academically, football, socially, etc.
It is too early to speculate, but supatigah has some good points.

how many true prototypical WRs have Miles landed?
most of the guys he's recruited are in the 6'0"- 6'2" range.
Some are even smaller. Jarvis Landry, OBJr.
Height is so damn overrated with WRs. Can you get open? can you catch the ball? Ok, you're in. That's Quinn. He's not short anyway

Hey I'm not saying your wrong. Just trying to weigh supatigah's info. I see that you guys already covered the undrafted TTU guys so that's my bad.

Could not agree with you more Lester Earl, I just think that Coach Miles and Coach Cameron favor those types, as does the NFL. Alot has been made of the white WR, but even guys like Jordy Nelson (2nd round) and Eric Decker (3rd round) have been drafted high, and they are both in the 6'3" range. I was a little surprised to see a 5'8" like Tavon Austin go 8th overall, but he is electric with the ball in his hands.

Oregon has been making a push on quinn
Good relatoonship building between quinn and #6. They see similar abilities

Yeah I'll believe we take ONLY three WRs when I see it, I'll also only believe Quinn goes somewhere else because of "touches" or "soft recruiting" when I see it. This almost seems like the same sfuff they were posting right before D'haquille commited to us.
If he wanted to be close by and receive a bajillion looks a game, he'd go to LaTech. Now this may sound racist, but believe me I really want him to come here, A white wr doesn't have a chance being drafted into the top 3 rounds unless he is on a national stage or is a prototypical NFL WR on a national stage(ex. Jordy Nelson). Also a white WR CANNOT play in a "system" offense. That is a DOA decision and a steep hill to the NFL.
All you have to do is look at Ryan Swope from last year to understand everything I'm saying

Swoope admitted to multiple concussions. In case you haven't noticed, that has become a big issue in the NFL lately. That had far more impact on his draft status that being a "system" WR or going to a school that hasn't produced that many NFL WR's or players. The NFL is extremely competitive. They scour the country looking for players. They don't care where you go to school.

What if we sign the following guys:
Upchurch
Williams
Noil
Dupre and Quinn sign elsewhere.
Are we happy?

Simply no. I think to call our wr hall successful we must sign all but one out of williams, noil, dupre, quinn. Obviously all of them would be the best option but I think losing one is okay. I also would add blacknall as our 5th. Upchurch is pushed out.
After watching all of their films I think upchurch is the least the last out.

but fwiw, quinn just isn't that interested in LSU right now. he was all TAMU last year
now this can change, but as of now quinn isn't coming here

I still don't understand the Upchurch offer with all the interested talent but is this in fact the case (a la Chuck Baker) or is this just what you hope happens?
