If we keep Upchurch, so be it (I really like him too though).
Quinn can play the slot with Brazil as 2nd string. Everybody talking about switching Noil to DB, why? We have a bunch on roster and plan on taking a bunch this go around and we just grabbed a bunch in 2013. We got 2 corners and a safety (maybe 2 safeties and a corner), and are trying to get at least one more saftey and corner. I think five of them are enough.
I said all that to say, I'd rather take Quinn oved Noil (OMG gasp!).

it was something i said, i dont think "everybody" feel the same way.
it boils down to him being able to play every down on DEF, rather than be a mis-used gadget player on offense.

i'm an LC/Barbe guy. word gets out. it was the same thing with janzen (i mean how this board didn't want to believe it...the situations/motivations are completely different)

well last i heard he was all TAMU, and they're in the SEC
my guess is he wants to go to a wide open offense
i like quinn. i watched the evangel game in person. kid is legit. if he had to sign with a team tomorrow, it wouldn't be LSU

A&M dropped out of contention for him when Kingsbury went west. The only SEC school he's looking at is LSU, and he's trying to find any reason he can not to come here.

Exactly. They're even talking to the likes of smu. Okie State, Clemson, Texas Tech, SMU, Oregon, it's pretty clear what's going on here. He's looking for a certain style, and LSU ain't it. He's looking nowhere in the sec, and as good as he is, he could go anywhere in the sec.
I have no shtick whatsoever, and I have no problem with Quinn. I considered it a no brainer a year ago. Seems like most here did too, and they haven't kept up with it since they figured he was an LSU lock. Well, things change.

I think he is looking hard at LSU, Ole Miss, and Auburn, all of the SEC. LSU favors the Ruben Randles and Terrance Tollivers, so it goes both ways as far as fit.
