What's the longest you've ever been able to keep a gym? Ive never made it a full 24 hrs. Even had a 1280 Vap that was 4th in a lvl 7 gym with a 1900 Snorlax and it was beat in like 18 hrs

Finally evolved my 400 magikarp candy into a 1700 gyarados. Most satisfying evolve yet! Glad I no longer have to catch those flopping fish anymore.

Longest I had one was 2 days, my brother and I both only had like cp 500ish Pokemon on there so it must not be visited often. Kinda wanna go back now that I have a real squad and see if I can keep that mug

I started playing this game, but it seems like it's just a game of catch-up with higher-level players with no strategy. Level 7 and have like only 1 200+ CP, and everyone around me has 700-1000+.

No, I was never really into Pokemon so maybe that's why I'm not really into it. I installed this as something to do, but I'm seeing it's pretty one-dimensional.

The battling,lvling up sort is terrible.
Going out and finding Pokemon is a lot of fun. Your kids are probably down with it, no?

It's a long game. Going to take a long time to find and catch all the pokemon, which is the ultimate objective. Good thing for players who are "behind" is that taking over gyms is easier than defending them, so even if you don't have that 1800 snorlax, you still may be able to take over a gym.
I'm hoarding stardust and just catching everything I can to keep leveling up. I hope to be able to max out a ton of strong pokemon and wreck shop all over my town in the next couple months.

Same here. I remember evolving to a pidgeot and it being in the 120s. Now finding 300+ pidgeys so I'm not going to final form anything for a while unless it's someone I don't have registered that I'm anticipating.

Anyone here still collects? I started gathering 1st editions off eBay for the X/Y release back in 2013. These are just 1st edition holos for the original, fossil, jungle, rocket nad gym collections with the more expensive/rare EX holos in one stack. Also have all the commons and uncommons in binders.

Nice. I had shoeboxes full of cards (sports cards included) stolen out of a storage unit years ago so not me anymore. Broke my spirit there

A few ideas to improve the game.
1. Enable players to get gear from a gym, just like pokestops.
2. Give players some xp for battling at a gym even if they fail.
3. Instead of spinning a disc to get gear from a Pokestop, make it a button tap, and return to the map automatically afterwards. And just add the gear to the inventory automatically without having to tap it.

I stopped collecting sports just because market value changes. Too high to buy and too low to sell a lot of times.
