Yea they do, and a lot more engaging.

Sad that the 2 big players don't feel next gen but the WiiU does.

LBP 1 and 2 on the PS3 are just as engaging and look just as pretty if not more pretty than most Nintendo games...and that is last gen.

Many Nintendo games have a unique art style, but that doesn't make them more next gen.

Visceral Games are working on the next entry in the Battlefield franchise which will be titled Hardline. Although different in theme than the main Battlefield series, it will still remain true to the roots that the the franchise is known. GamingBolt was able to get in touch with Ian Milham who is the Creative Director on Battlefield: Hardline at Visceral Games.

Battlefield Hardline is already confirmed to be running at 1080p and 60fps on the PlayStation 4, so where does that leave the Xbox One version? Ian confirmed to us, that ‘it should be the same.’

“If you look at the games that Visceral Games has made before, we have always strive for total parity between our platforms,” Ian explained. “Of course, the PC version, it will do whatever your PC can handle, and the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will obviously not be as high res as compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version. But those two [PS4 and Xbox One] should be locked in together.”

Not 100% confirmation, but good news nonetheless.

Yes they do, love that title and can't wait to purchase LBP3 for my PS4. Sadly, it sort of ends there...

IMO, what makes "Next Gen" for me is how it engages you compared to the pervious gen. I'm not purchasing Multi-Plats on consoles, that is what PC is for, I want the best looking game possible.

The Wii U does something the other 2 consoles dont do, just that gamepad "brings you into the game" much more than its competition.

Ppl have different definitions of NextGen, my definition isn't graphics since the consoles look like 2011 PC titles. It is how the game engages you and brings you into the world/experience.

The fact that people are excited over 1080p 30 FPS is bad for gaming IMO

Its acceptable in the fact that I am playing an open world game on a $400 machine.

If I was playing it on a higher end, more expensive machine 30fps may not be acceptable.

ETA:

That seems to be forgotten every time this conversation comes up.

Would you pay $30 to get a machine that could get 60FPS at 1080p?

It won't run it on ultra but the PS4 or Xbone aren't running ultra either.

Most people already have a tv.

Unless you intend to hook that PC to a tv you need to add in a decent monitor.

Steam Big Picture is made to run on a TV though

Why is it that you HAVE to have a monitor for PC but not consolol? You guys can't keep moving the line just because you don't like something.

ETA and the Steam OS is free before that gets brought up.

Who doesn't have a KB/M laying around or can get one for $10?

It doesn't have to be a gaming KB/M though that is an option and even then there are some inexpensive options out there. Some really nice $15 gaming mouses and such.

I'm just making a point. I have TVs all over my house which can have consoles or pcs hooked up to them. I just think it's a waste to spend so much on a PC (which has superior graphics but no decent monitor to run it on.

I think a monitor is a reasonable assumption when looking for a PC.

I have a really nice LED TV that my PC looks great on. The only benefit of a monitor really is the refresh rate and higher resolution if you are running 1440p but I'm trying to compare apples apples here and you aren't.

Apples to apples is a console or PC hooked up to a TV. The FPS at 1080p is what was in question. Nothing more.

That's a really stupid assumption. I have gamed on my PC through my TV a ton of times. There's no reason people can't do it. Monitors are just a perk of PC gaming.

Yea you're right most people already have a couch in their houses to sit on for playing a console.
