I've built couch computers for people with the full intent of hooking them up to 1080p TVs. They use controllers as well, and get the performance that the new consoles should've delivered from the start.

No you dont, and you don't need a M/KB for the most part with Steam's Big Picture Mode. You can build a SteamBox/HTPC for the same price if not cheaper with better performance.

You're a server something or another. That's awesome, I'm hoping I get some kind of super ballin arse job with my IT degree so I can get a $2,000 mortgage as well. I know that you know all about computers, but that doesn't mean I can't randomly be a master race douche. Until I see KK on Steam or Origin, you're just "KK: The Guy That Knows About The Master Race, But Doesn't Participate".

The problem is you got to have both a pc and a console. Otherwise you lose out on console exclusives.
Especially sports games, which are always just awful ports or mostly never released.
