Why wouldn't I want this cookware set?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a cookware purchase and was wondering if anyone had warnings of caution with this set.

I would not want an entire set of nonstick cookware. I have a couple of nonstick skillets, but it's not the ideal surface for plenty of cooking chores. It also breaks down at high heat....I'm not frying or making a roux in a NS pan.

Heard that. I've got my cast iron for that stuff.

The only nonstick cookware I have are some skillets I bought at Sam's and a griddle. When the skillets get scratched, I dump them and buy some more because they're cheap. None of my pots are nonstick. Would you use nonstick pots?

Good point. Another thing I'm apprehensive about is all of the lids. I've had sets in the past share some of the lids. This looks like a fiasco.

I actually pulled the trigger on these yesterday. Lost mine in the flood. Reviews seemed pretty good so we will see. Still have all my cast iron for most things

There are many lids in that set! The key is whether you would use all of those pieces and how often. If the set fits into your cooking styles, then it's probably good. I have a lot of pots and lids, none are nonstick. They're fine. Also have cast iron, so I'm in pretty good shape for now. I need a few more 8, 10 or 12 quart pots, perhaps.

Quite the fecal fiasco. You will never use most of that. Or at least I wouldn't.

Same here. Bought a Cuisinart Green Gourmet 8 inch ceramic coated skillet a few months ago and it's been great. Granted, it did cost $49 from Bed Bath and Beyond. We use this one piece almost exclusively. I plan to upgrade all of our cookware piece by piece to Cuisinart Green Gourmet.

People have hammered home the skillets will stick. Has been my experience with the TFal. 3/10 skillet.

No issues with the pots. Really like they have a little hole for steam release. Really good for cooking rice, jambalaya, gumbo etc.

The only time I pull out a non-stick skillet is for eggs. Would not buy.

Nonstick = disposable, only good for a few years. I'd get one nonstick 12" frypan mostly for eggs and the rest would be regular stainless sandwiched metal such as All-Clad or enameled cast iron like LeCrueset. All you need is a 12" fry, 3 and 4 quart sauce and a 8-10 quart stock pot if you are cooking for less than 5.
