Carne asada tacos from food truck down the road. Lime, onions and cilantro, with their hot sauce. Pretty damn tasty.

My husband's supper: Spaghetti carbonara with shrimp. First time attempting. I'm pretty sure the eggs aren't supposed to end up scrambled. Suggestions?
My supper is Shiratake noodle (fake noodles) carbonara with shrimp.

Made homemade pasta and cut into fettuccine noodles. Poached for about two minutes. Sauce was 3 tablespoons butter, splash olive oil, fresh sage minced, couple of minced garlic cloves and a nice plum tomato chopped and sautéed. Added pasta and a couple tablespoons of pasta water, then plated, bit of kosher salt, pepper and fresh grated pecorino Romano.
Nice and light. Kids running metro cross country meet tomorrow so they like pasta and steak the night before. Wife grilled filets for all the girls and her. I just stuck with the pasta.

what did you have for lunch yesterday? I had the dumplings and "the nest". Both were awesome..

Darla, whip the eggs and Romano together and set aside. When you sautéed the bacon , other pork or shrimp , add the pasta, remove from the fire, and quickly whip in the cheese and egg mixture . Season to taste with black pepper and salt. It will turn creamy and should not scramble. Hit with a tad of pasta water if too thick.

Thanks. I didn't remove it from the fire and I didn't have the cheese mixed in with the eggs.
My husband thought it still tasted pretty good.

Sonic tater tots and popcorn chicken on the way back from the camp in Mississippi. An ode to Meridian.
