I'm shocked that so many Chinese restaurants are on the list.

As reliable as the sun rising in the East.

Deli/buffet style offerings have pretty stringent regs for cleanliness and temperature controls.

All restaurants have similar regulations. Whether or not they are followed, depends on the restaurant and it's management.

Back home in Vegas the newspaper makes health inspections regularly available on their website, and it is overwhelming the amount of asian restaurants that have critical violations. They are available here too, but I wish it was more easily accessible.

Not really. In the 80's and 90's I worked for a couple of food distributors in the NOLA area and called on many types of restaurants. The Asian ones were always the dirtiest and less organized in the back of the house. It was common to see tubs of frozen pork butts sitting on the floor thawing next to the dishwasher etc.

All restaurants don't have food cooked/raw food sitting out on hot/cold lines all day long.

Was surprised to see French market restaurant. Always was curious if it was any good, but I won't be finding out now

Surprised?! Step foot and there and you will know by smell. I did liquor inventory there for awhile and you cannot even begin to imagine how disgusting the place is. They were battling a rat infestation. I mean rats the size of terriers. Honestly nearly every place in quarter is like this. Avoid eating in the quarter at all cost, especially close to the river.

I saw a rat the size of a coon the last time I sat down at Café du Monde. Goes with the territory...

Worst of the worst by far are the (2) Mango daiquiris locations on bourbon. Never ever ever get a piece of pizza from those places. One on 200 block and one on 400 block
