It was indeed flavor first when SYM came into my life.

Stuff a roast by Targill in opelousas
I've had it before but find all of Targill's product contain too much msg, to the point where the minute I eat something that has been seasoned with it, my tongue starts to feel weird.

Tony's crawfish boil powder from the '80's was awesome. Can it still be purchased? (I have the recipe in one of his books, I'm pretty sure).
I haven't seen the crawfish boil in years either.
I have his original cookbook he signed and gave me which has the creole seasoning recipe.
But that recipe has changed drastically.
The original recipe had Accent (MSG) and less salt and they started marketing nationwide they dropped the MSG and the spice level.
Less spice = more salt.
So for those that say Tony's has to much salt, try the Tony's more spice version

Anybody ever try Ragin Blaze Cajun Seasoning? I've heard it's supposed to be less salty and really good.

Rat and Otis,
thx for the plugs as I do sell my own line of Cajun Seasoning products as a secondary job to supplement my income. Never promoted my business on the FDB, just gave away 12-15 cans to several ppl I met here and on the OB
Ragin Blaze has no MSG, low sodium 135 mg, and is infused with smoked chipotle (no cayenne). I totally respect TC as he is the Tabasco of Cajun Seasoning and paved the way for us small timers. My wife is from Opelousas as I know the TC family and Paul Prudhomme
My products are only sold online and through word of mouth. I have customers in 48 States, 7 foreign countries, and I donate seasoning monthly to the men and women serving in the armed forces and stationed overseas. God Bless our troops who protect the Stars and Stripes
FYI - my username Got Blaze has nothing to do with cannabis but rather my love for cooking and my own seasoning brand which many of my customers call "Cajun crack"
