Welcome LMT57.
Boy I loved Blueplate BBQ Sauce in the grocery size bottle.

Degas Shakey's Pizza
The wife and I would go to the Shakey's on Fondren in Jackson when we were dating. They had an old upright piano and a player with a straw hat and red striped vest.
We usually got a thin crust sausage and shrimp. There were always big air filled bubbles in the very thin and very crispy crust. Great Pizza. The wife would usually drink her soda and about half of mine - isn't love wonderful.
I understand there is still a Shakey's in Auburn. Need to take a road trip one weekend for pizza.

LSU-centric:
Pump-n-Station Roast Beef Poboy
Dragon Hall buffet - the guy ran quarter beer specials where he'd give you a can for a quarter; make your own softserv cone
Sizzler on College - Sunday morning, hungover, all you can eat steak and shrimp
Round the Corner Hickory burger

Thought Danny's were long gone. Looks like they're in Franklin, Houma, and Morgan City. Wonder if the onion rings are still as good.
There was a Danny's in Zachary in the 80s when I lived there. All my friends from that time there still talk about how those were the best onion rings ever made, and they're right. I've never had better onion rings to this day.
I'd give my left nut for a order of them right now.

You can order the concentrate online. Good stuff- in gallon bottles.
I miss the Team sodas that we're sold by the venders in Tiger Stadium. They were in a cardboard cup with cellophane over the top so they didn't spill while they walked up and down the steps.
I buy SnapETom at Calandros but it is the only store left that sells it and only the Perkins store.
I miss Schlitz, Falstaff and Jax beer.

Speaking of the Marathon bar, these were out around the same era.

The old small noodle cheeseburger macaroni hamburger helper. My favorite easy comfort food ever. Can't even eat it now
Heath sensations. The little tiny ones. Not the perfectly round ones. Found them at big lots once. They were probably years old but still delicious
Also brownie batter in a tube like cookie dough. Probably for the best because I used to make myself sick of raw brownie batter

That's what you call it now? Raw brownie batter? Okay. I guess.
