What are the most expensive restaurants in New Orleans? Think you already know? We ran the numbers to find the most expensive dinner for two. We looked at 125 restaurants and calculated the median price for two appetizers and two main courses.
NOLA.com

I've only been to Antoine's and Commander's (twice). I doubt I'll ever go to any others in my lifetime.

WTF does Square Root serve? $300 for dinner, not including drinks. Holy hell. I knew they were expensive but damn.

Yeah I will never set foot in Mortons unless someone else is paying.

I've eaten at plenty of the others on the list and it was well worth it

I've only gone there when they do special happy hour deals like $1 filet sliders

So what would you say the average cost of a meal at the most expensive restaurant in Nola would cost?

Assuming a decent bottle of wine or drinks, not that you're buying a $3,000 bottle.

It's a multi course, tasting menu with molecular gastronomy techniques. Like you'd see in NYC.

Last time I ate at Mr John's I dropped $170 for dinner for two and that was without cocktails.

was in town for a conference a few weeks back and had dinner at August one night. Spent right under $200 (couple drinks in there). I was by myself

Steakhouses are the biggest rip offs in all of dining.

You'll spend a lot more than $120 +\- for 2 entrees a few side plates, bottle of wine and after dinner drinks at most of these restaurants. I went to Chophouse a few weeks back and after a tip I paid around $250.

The one time I went to Mortons someone else was paying. It was pretty damn good.

Been to 8. Clearly this list doesn't include alcohol.

Was at mr. Johns a week ago, it was $189 for the two of us, she got 2 drinks. While the meal was expensive it was definitely worth it.

$90 for 2 at Commanders

While this is a little bit disingenuous of what anybody ends up spending there I've always said that Commander's is underpriced. They could easily get away with that #1 spot
