Wouldnt providing a service like outlets to charge a phone be considered good customer service??

I've had this issue while out of town on vacation a couple times. Go to a few places using GPS, take a few pictures, use the interwebs to find the next bar/brewery you're going to hit... Next thing you know you're battery is below 20%.

I don't know why you're getting shite for this. Although I think just a strip of outlets is plenty.

Bulldog has a couple outlets around the place, and people use the hell out of them.

When I worked in bars, I brought random people's phones to the back to charge them all the time.

I do but most if the time, because I'm making friends with the bartenders, I can usually charge my phone behind the bar. Most bars have an iPhone charger behind them. However I do think the battery bank is a good idea.

I don't think it's a bad idea, really.

reason i mentioned the power bank is the ease to carry USB chord with you as opposed to fully outlet charger

Im sure you need a cell phone to check TD every 10 seconds. You have almost 100k posts. That is definitely not what normal people do

You ain't kidding. Can be an issue if you're on the wrong side of a foreign town at night and drunk.

Shark tank had a pitch for this for bars. They sell the locking charging station or rent them to bars.

I just carry an Anker. A little bit bigger than a chapstick and will charge your iphone from 0 to 100% one time.

I imagine in the near future the bar's surface will be one giant wireless charger.

When I'm traveling alone for work, I'll go to a bar/restaurant and sit there for a few hours replying to emails, etc. And I've been in places where I need to rely on my phone's GPS to get me back to my hotel, so if I don't have my charger or a place to charge it...I'm leaving when it gets to 15-20% battery life remaining.
