Old family friend of my mom and dad byway of his brother Nicky. He was the principal for years at the Stan.

ive eaten 2 one lb hamburgers in one sitting
an entire rack of pork ribs, 2 salads and about 8 ounces of a ribeye
i've probably eaten 2.5-3 lbs of fried catfish plus raw onions, huspuppies, fries and coleslaw 20 or so times. will do it whenever the opportunity is presented
i come from a family of eaters, which you can pretty much tell by looking at most of us, but unlike most of them, i spend a good bit of time in the gym and maintain a fairly decent diet 90% of the time.

damn
I've scarfed down Akasha's one-pounder with fries before after a night of drinking but I wake up the next day feeling like I haven't consumed water in 7-day. Beer/liquor/sodium burger/fries is not a good mix

Well, I guess there is no mystery to how you got so big! I'm impressed!
I ate a good bit at meals, but I knew plenty of people that ate just as much as me at meals and weren't as big. My problem always was and always will be 2fold: snacking and binging. If I'm bored, just watching TV, I will snack and snack and snack if I have snacks. And I binge eat. I still do, although it's not nearly as big of a binge and it's generally with healthier stuff... unless I'm drunk.

a couple of weeks ago, it took about a half gallon of water to get all the cotton out of my mouth

Ate about 80% of a pig's head stuffed with a lobster on a bed of mashed potatoes and vegetables.. oh and had an appetizer before that. That was definitely the craziest meal I've ever had

I was thinking that was the craziest thing I ever heard of. But it appears it's done. Wow
With Mashed potatoes too. I want. lol

Sorry, I had to bring that one up.. The restaurant they serve this at- Au Pied du Cochon- in Montreal was featured in the Bourdain episode in that city. They change the pig's head entree pretty frequently. Apparently it used to be served with mussels (!), but when we went it was 'only' potatoes and vegetables. My gf chickened out of course so I was stuck to eat as much as possible so as to not offend the chef. I did pretty damn well, although I couldn't bring myself to put much of a dent in the brains. The restaurant itself is phenomenal by the way.

I have to go there and try one of the pig's head dinners.
I remember when Bourdain went there.

Back in college, I ate 80 hooters wings on a bet. I was miserable for the rest of the night. My buddy, Big Ron (RIP), heard about it and decided to put me in my place. He ate 121, taking number 121 off my plate.
I started struggling around number 60. He never broke stride. Of course he was 6'9" and about 350 lbs. I was only 6'5" and 235 lbs.
ETA: I also ate 8 dozen raw oysters, with saltines, at Jones Creek Oyster Bar back in college. How I'm not 300 lbs+ is anyone's guess.

Not too impressive, but
Ate 5 dozen raw and 1 doz chargrilled at Acme one afternoon with about 5 or 6 Abita Ambers.
Stomach was jacked up for a couple days.
Dumb. Can barely eat 2 dozen now.

25 flautas, 10 tacos, a couple plates of enchiladas, rice & beans polished off with a half dozen sopapillas with honey at Panchos. Waiter brought out a banquet style tray about 4 feet round piled with food and just left it next to the table.

The most gluttonous meal was 5 dozen half shell raw oysters, 2 dozen fried oysters and 2 dozen oysters rockafeller plus garlic bread and lots of beer. Lord it was a terrible day the next day. I didn't want oysters for a LONG time after that.
I also ate 16 cheese Krystals one night when I was in college. Bad decision.

Probably the most at one time would be the 1# burger from CheeseburgerCheeseburger with a shake and fries. Got my picture on the wall. I was miserable and this is coming from a fatguy. Just don't know how the professional eaters like kobiashi do it

Oops, hit submit accidentally.
I was going to ask if his death was related to obesity and then I realized that at 6'9", 350 is not necessarily obese. Sorry if the question is rude.
