He is saying that they cut the whole piece into strips and wrap then tie them to get the "steaks" that I bought. Probably looks like a skirt steak before they roll it up. He was not talking about a New York strip.

Also keep an eye out for the monthly sales. Most things are already pretty well priced but most of the staples go on sale too. TP, paper towels, trash bags, detergent, diapers, deodorant, toothpaste, etc is usually on sale at some point. We stock up then to have a backup of most things and around time we need more it's back on a new sale.

Keep an eye out for the items the the * by the price, those won't be reordered so if it's something you want pick it up before it's out. And look for the stuff that's priced at .97, .79, .49, etc, these are likely indicating better deals, like reduced prices to clear stock.

As for more meat, I usually buy my brisket, pork shoulder, and ribs from Costco as well. I bought some beef short ribs today for the first time so we'll see how that goes.

About a month ago ours had a massive two pack of cinnamon toast crunch for four bucks. I wanted to buy it just because it was such a deal, but sadly I refrained.

The pulled pork is very good
Chicken salad
wines & liquors
As many said, the roast chicken and ribs
Chicken tortilla soup
clam chowder
seaweed snacks
all of the ravioli
The cheese selection

Things I don't care for:
All of their premium cold cuts, from the pastrami to the roast turkey.

Understood... I don't think I've been up that late in 5 years. I've learned the hard way to not drunk text, call, Facebook, and now TD.

on topic: thin crust frozen pizzas, Soba noodles, tp, paper towels, Salmon, Ribeye Caps, chicken thighs/ breasts, bags of patty pan squash, broccoli, spinach, Dog Food, and all medicine cabinet staples.

Costco has a great deal going on the Goodyear Hybrid wiper blades. They are $5. I have seen them for $15 at Autozone in the past.

I read this yesterday, right after getting back from a second trip ... with packages of pastrami and black forest ham.

Haven't tasted it yet.

I'm sure it's just personal preference, I just don't care for the flavor.
