And when I mean heavy I mean a lot of food. What kind of alcohol will keep me going

Hmmmm...go with a lighter beer then. A lager or a Pilsner. Something you can keep drinking. If you like wine maybe a Chardonnay or a Sauvingnon blanc. Something light and not too sweet.

Red bull vodka and all you can eat catfish/shrimp sounds disgusting. I had a lot of shrimp alfredo last weekend after several whiskey drinks and proceeded to vomit everywhere, would not recommend

All I know is I used to eat steaks without red wine and now I know what I was missing. It's a special kind of lightheadedness

If you are full don't drink beer, it just adds to the fullness. Go straight to liquor. If you need energy definitely do vodka and red bull.

Water. And then drink alcohol after your meal.

Martini or a good bourbon on the rocks would be my go to in that situation. Specifically, I'd order a vodka martini, slightly dirty, straight up, blue cheese olives, and shaken until it's damn near slushy...
