The fuel level sensors in the tank are purposely meant to slowly rise to keep your fuel gauge needle from constantly bouncing around. So in other words it takes a few minutes to show that the tank is actually full. Who's is why your mileage slowly shows improvement. ...

Take a 1/4 inch drill bit and drill into the fitting that screws into the propane tank There is a spring and ball bearing that act as a one way valve that will stop the flow of propane. The drill bit will break the spring. I may or may not be a authorized dealer for bayou classic :lol:...
