Easy.
Eat fattier cuts of meat. Chicken, pork, and ground beef are typically cheaper for fattier cuts. Stop eating boneless, skinless chicken breast; get bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs. Much higher fat content. Steaks are not cheaper for fatty cuts, but a good ribeye is great for your macros.
Put Kerrygold butter on top of meat. Saute vegetables in healthy oil.. I like avocado oil. For salads, blue cheese dressing and vinaigrettes. Pecans or walnuts have lots of fiber so low net carbs, great for snacking and/or adding to salads. I make my own avocado oil mayo, use half for blue cheese dressing, and the other half for sauces and on food in general.
A great way to make spreadable butter is to melt your unsalted KG butter, mix in EVOO to make 50/50 EVOO and butter.. put in fridge. Once the mixture hardens, it'll be a margerine-esque consistency and easily spreadable, but great for you.
Basically.. get used to eating fat like you used to eat carbs. Slather food in unsalted grassfed (kerrygold is the most abundant) butter and oils.

Sounds good. Looking to see how much more fat I can lose in a month. Just eating smarter M-Fri and working out 3-5 times a week helped me lose 10lbs.
Currently doing Bigger, Leaner, Stronger lifting routine.
Probably get started keto tomorrow. Going to have to start preparing a lot of my own foods.

I did a 20 hour fast yesterday.
Had a GOT party last night (didn't watch Sunday) and downed a Party size bag of Hotter'n Hot jalapeño Zapps with about 18 smoked/fried wings. Haven't had them in 3 months.
I'll have another bag in 3 months on my birthday.
I'm gonna weigh in Friday.

You certainly love those Zapps. Chips/salsa at Mexican restaurants used to be my weakness.
Keep getting it done. How are the Wendler strength gains progressing?

Legs tomorrow.
Wendler pain train will not be stopped.
My posting might. Wendler won't.

I whiffed on 4hundo Saturday on deadlift.
Got 385 twice right before that.
Bench and squat are rough. I don't have updated ORM's for either.
I can probably get 275 once on bench, and 325 on squat.
Pretty weak all around.

I just ate some wings that were smoked and fried. They were pretty damn good! Followed it up with some grilled shrimp tacos.

Just bought the 5/3/1 book on Amazon. I was intrigued and inspired by the posts on here and the reviews on Amazon. Here's to hoping for the best

I got curious and stepped on the scale this morning. Vacation damage isn't as bad as I'd anticipated. Only ~3 pounds up from my lowest, and still probably haven't gotten back into ketosis yet.

Good article..
Diet down to 10-12% bf before bulking? Jeez that's a lot of weight I'll have to lose before I could even consider a bulk if I listen to that

Cool. I successfully put on 5-8 lbs over the past 2-3 months after I tightened up my schedule. I've eaten at a "maintenance" (not forcing food down) the past two weeks. Loss of appetite is my biggest problem. I've been doing a 18 hr IF but eating breakfast and lunch with no dinner while keeping a maintenance. I like the feeling of an empty stomach.
I will say that during the "bulk" period I had more energy. I felt like I was bouncing off the walls. I wonder if that was my body trying to rid itself of the extra energy.

I always stalked the old thread so I learned a lot from you guys. Went to doctor in February and my numbers were horrible on all accounts. Lost 5 lbs just tweaking a few things in Feb and March. Got real serious in April about keto/macros/and tracking everything I eat. Down another 10 pounds this month. So keep up the good work guys. Some of us are watching but not posting.

woohoo!!
Bus,
I signed up for the physiqonomics letter and am reading their e-book.. I found this:
That clearly isn't designed for serious fatasses 289*12=3468 cals daily?! I eat just under 2k right now..

Mine would be almost twice the calories I am eating now and losing. Ummmm no. I am having a pretty easy time staying keto. I hope that doesn't change.

It's true tho. You don't need to bulk for a couple years if you are at 289 and need to get down to 220. Lose the bad weight first
