Yeah, not anticipating on trying to bulk anytime soon. 10-12% just surprised me a little.. that's a really low number.

Mine would be almost twice the calories I am eating now and losing. Ummmm no. I am having a pretty easy time staying keto. I hope that doesn't change.

Keto's pretty easy to stick to for me. My favorite foods are all pretty keto, or easily adapted to it.

I'm back in ketosis now after the past weekend. Going to hit bench press and some other upper body work...gotta keep keto and under macros thru the weekend this week.

If we can do it, you can do it.

Keep up the keto madam.

Another tuesday, another jog down. Finally used the mapmyrun app to actually track in real time my jog instead of mapping it when I got home and relying on the stop watch on my phone to keep track. Also managed to finish the hill at the end of my jog yesterday that I'd been having to walk at the end of previously. Pace was very consistent though, which was good (11:10 first mile 11:15 second).

Not really happy with the weight at the moment, but then again that's my fault. I'm trying not to worry a whole lot about that number and just keep doing my thing in the gym. I feel good right now, not gross and bloated like I have at other points when I was carb'd up but I also wasn't in the gym then. Honestly, I feel like if I track numbers then I won't eat enough to make progress in the gym which is where I want to succeed at right now...I'll see how it goes.

Honestly I would actually suggest getting to sub 10% to reset your body fat set point. Trust me, I have bulked when at 12% and you can put the fat on quickly if you are not very very careful. The lower your BF%, the more efficient you become at utilizing cals and staying at a certain BF tends to make it easy to stay/get back to that point as it becomes your new norm.

I've been staying away from Stevia. I know it's safe, but with people saying it could spike or trick the body into an insulin response, I figured I'd just forget about it. My wife uses it.

Something happened over the last two weeks without it to where I can sip black coffee from 8 am, after I've finished my lifting, until I break fast at 12:30/1pm, and it tastes fine.

I usually take down 1.5 liters of water before 12pm too.

For people trying IF that may be lurking and not wanting to post, this combo works well.

I usually stop eating at 8/8:30 pm.

If I have a handful of almonds at 10 or so at night does that break the fast from dinner at 6pm or not?

I typically drink my coffee black, as well. The exception is coffee at work.. they use Community Dark Roast and I just don't like it black. Too bitter.

While it may not cause a spike in insulin, that's almost certainly enough calories to break the fast

yes it will break the fast.

as far as stevia and other artificial sweeteners, the insulin response is individual. Meaning some can handle certain ones while others can't. The only way to really monitor this is through a blood glucose meter, that is how I found out stevia nor splenda spike mine but pretty much all others do which sucks because i prefer extra.

Doing low carb. Need to start walking but hard to find the time. Long time lurker, occasional poster. Been throwing in a 24 hour fast about twice a week for the last month or so helps erase any weekend cheats.

don't get me wrong Walt, I'm pumped for everything that I've done. But I've got more goals to achieve. I've been maintaining this weight for a while now, but I'm not as focused as I know I'm capable of being. losing discipline after being so good at it for so long can get frustrating sometimes.

this describes me right now too. Had a good strict run during lent, made some but not mindblowing progress. Back to sorta maintaining.

Its pretty dang tasty. I throw a little vanilla extract in there and it kicks it up a notch.

Going for a 24-hour fast. Ate at 6:30, NFL Draft party at 6:30 tonight at Bdubs.. Moar wings! Although bdubs isn't my favorite. I'm starving this morning, chose a bad day for a long fast Did a little workout from DailyBurn this morning, and I think it has to do with my hunger.
