Coffee
If you don't like coffee, get some caffeine + L-theanine pills.

I do both. You get used to IF after a while. I never think to eat before noon anymore unless I'm on vacation and everyone else is wanting breakfast.

Also when you hit vacation do you stay on IF or enjoy vacation a few days and start back when home?

Yesterday

Breakfast 1 banana and nutria grain bar
Lunch 1 banana and 2 cuties
Dinner Garden Salad as before
Snack 3 halos

walked the dog .72 miles

I think my tracker for mileage is off some but not sure how I can check, it seems low.

Will try to go weigh myself today someplace. Lets see if 1 week of this has any results. In the past week, no red meat, no Cokes/Dr. Pepper, no candy, no sweets.

Today I am trying frozen strawberries, half a banana, vanilla, and unsweetened almond milk smoothie for breakfast.

I personally drink it black. Got tired of adding things and wondering if affects my body negatively.

It varies. IF really just helps with limiting my calories that way I can eat more later in the day as I like bigger meals. For instance this weekend I was on vacation we stopped for breakfast on Friday. I skipped and only had coffee. Yet Saturday I went for a nice omelet and made sure my lunch and dinner were smaller.

I know there are other benefits to IF, but I haven't noticed them that much.

ETA: Fwiw I'm not in any freakishly good shape or an expert on anything. I'm still in the process of figuring out what's best for my body.

Have a question for you pros at weight loss

I have not had any red meat or any fried, cooked, processed foods since start of my saga would it be detrimental for myself to get a ham and cheese omelet as a reward or Faturday for 10 days?

Or should I just power through and say forget it? Worried that it may spark a craving or make me fall off the wagon.

one meal will NOT ruin your progress. You need to have that cheat meal sometimes and enjoy yourself. Then get back on track. Last year when i was hardcore following my meal plan and got to my cheat meal on saturday, it would kind of jumpstart me for the week on monday and give me motivation throughout the week as something to look forward to for my hard work.

Because I was part of a 10 day salad only challenge. I am extending it to 31 days though. Every pound lost is a dollar to the local food pantry after the 10 days by our teachers association.

I think you will be hard pressed to find anyone in this thread who thinks an omelet is a bad idea. Almost all of us have lost weight by cutting carbs & eating higher fat/protein meals. An omelet is more of a "diet" meal for me than a Nutrigrain bar, since a Nutrigrain bar has the same number of carbs as 2 Reese's PB cups. Enjoy it!

A banana only has 1 gram of protein. I promise I'm not remotely trying to bash your plan. I'm all for doing what works for each person. Your diet just sounds very heavy on sugar, which often leads to feeling a lot hungrier & having blood sugar spikes & dips. If you feel good now & you're losing weight, by all means, take what I'm saying with a grain of salt.

The only time I have had an intense hunger was Sunday. But just ate a banana or a cutie and was good. I guess I am drinking so much water that is helping me.

So, just eat some boiled crawfish with sausage cooked with it. No potatoes.

I will find out today as I will weigh myself. If I have not lost anything noticeable I will add something in. Us discussing hunger has made me hungry actually now.

But I feel like the water has helped really, sometime I think we confuse hunger with thirst.

With the amount of protein you are getting you will lose a lot of muscle. I would assume your goal is to lose fat not just pounds right? Out of curiosity How did you come up with your diet?

Thought of it on my own and used my Lenten sacrifices to incorporate in it. Plus we were challenged on a Salad Diet for teachers Association for 10 days for charity, but I am extending it. I just have not added chicken to salads, as I hate chicken (all poultry actually).
