Been hearing alot about this place for awhile now and I'm finally going to try it this weekend. Couple of questions before I do:
1) Is it a breakfast or lunch spot?
2) Is the Pho what it is hyped up to be?
3) Chicken or Beef?

4) Is it reopened yet?

If you're talking about the Westbank location, it has been closed for a while now. Walmart bought the property, tore the strip mall down and is almost finished building a Walmart there.
They have been planning to reopen on Tulane for awhile now but I haven't heard that they have yet.

Plenty of places still on the Westbank. Pho Bang, Pho Hoa, place next to Hong Kong Mart. Also 9 Roses and Tan Dinh for a bit more adventuresome fare, in addition to Pho.
ETA, But of course, none have Karl, Jr. or Sr.

This thread is awful. Way to get my hopes up.

"U wanna pho?"
Keep going a 1/4 mile further on the Westbank Expy and hang a left on Lafayette. Look for the big, beautiful green sign.

THIS. The new/old location on Tulane Ave looks like it's been washed/freshened up, but still not open. FB page hasn't been updated since April, website makes no mention of a reopening date. I miss the people more than the food.

I just watched the layover last night with Bourdain from 2012-13. Was looking forward to going next time I'm in town. Dammit.

Yep PTB is gone (for now). Go to Tan Dinh.

Love Tan Dinh, but never was a fan of their pho. Same with Nine Roses. On westbank I prefer Pho bang. On Eastbank Kim Anh's.
