Mom's roast, rice and gravy and LeSeur petit pois.
Mom's seafood gumbo on Fridays during Lent.
Dad's fried fish, shrimp and fresh cut fries.
Dad's steak and fresh cut fries.

They still make all of the above except Mom doesn't make the gumbo anymore. She makes chicken, but buys seafood gumbo if she wants it.

Milk Gravy over rice with fried pork chops. I get it once a year as a birthday meal.

Macaroni and ground beef casserole, made from scratch with a béchamel.. Not to be confused with that hamburger helper stuff.

Y'all all seem to be listing all homemade items. For me, the first things that come to mind are Manuel's Hot Tamales and frozen Tuna Pot Pies. I'm sure 1/2 the molecules in my body were once in tuna.

As for homemade, my mom made a great pressure cooker beef stew, Spanish rice, something she called Stuffed Tomatoes, but that was actually a casserole with ground beef.

"Rice with yellow sauce" -- basically chicken, browned in butter, mixed with a can of cream of chicken soup, some sour cream, salt, & pepper served over rice. Delicious.
