You can make that happen at Peche. I'm assuming the price range is for food only, sans tax and tip.

You could also do it at Mandina's if you want to show them some traditional New Orleans/Louisiana foods. It's always lively and you can take the streetcar there.

It's a shame Casamento's isn't open yet.

Getting close. The ones I mentioned will all be lively, loud and casual. Not to mention GREAT food.

Gris, had the best meal I have had in a very long time at Kin for lunch on Saturday.

I never get this. There are so many better places. I can never understand why this place is always crowded.

Hell, really most of the Besh places would fit the list in terms of pricing.

Exactly. The places I mentioned are on another level. I'll never go to Mandina's again. Boring food and a relic. Hope they stay in business and fill a niche, but they won't get any of my money.

Yes, there are, but I love going there. It's an old neighborhood restaurant with some dishes I like. It's not the best food in the land, but it's good. Not great, but good. It has a loyal following. It's nostalgic for me.

For groups trying to keep prices down, there are plenty of offerings at varying price points. It's reminds me of a large diner.

Katie's down the street is a better neighborhood place.

Lola's and 1000 Figs are a little bit further, but would fit the bill.
