There's no place on this board for his threads. We need more beer, restaurant review, and "What's the best pizza/burger joint in NO?" threads.

He gets way more criticism for his food threads than others have with less appetizing recipes.

Going about where expected.

I figure if MD is like the rest of the rednecks he'll either say f it and do his thing or shut it down and never say another word.

I hope it is the first option.

Exactly. But no, let's focus on the guy who actually tries to make this place somewhat fun.

Edit: I drink my coffee black and I couldn't possibly care less about how others take their coffee.

I think he'll keep posting them. From what I've seen he does get some compliments. And he seems to enjoy it and not be bothered by negative comments.

And there's nothing wrong with critiquing. But some people are just negative with every post.

I have no problem critiquing a restaurant in a review that is either positive or negative., as long as some adult thought is put into it, and there is some reasoning to it. They get paid for that, and the expectations demand it.

I often make my own pasta and bread. Should I slam a poster because they bought dried pasta or bread from the store? Probably not.. Restaurant? More valid.

Of course, there are always exceptions to any rule.

I was hoping for Rotel dip, or maybe a Minute Rice pilaf with cream of something soup.

Well I drink my coffee black, I apotheosize single malt scotch, wine and good bourbon, but I'm also a realist who lives in South Louisiana where, if you haven't noticed, it gets hotter than a hooker on nickel night. Therefore, I've been known to pour four fingers of bourbon into a coke with ice on certain Saturday nights in the fall. Hell, I think I've even tossed peanuts in it as well.

Having said that, I'd prefer to look at Meridians hot dog and Fritos pictures than debate ranch versus marinara and bad cheese sticks.

MD contributes to the board. There are no 5 star Michelin chefs here. His lowbrow stuff is a good break to all the best burger in X town debates. I can't wait ti see him boil some pork, grill it and then post the pics. Come on MD we are waiting on you.

Yes. And serves it with Mac 'n' Cheese, and posts a photo of the directions on the back of the store brand box for explanation of the cooking process.

Final photo of the plating of the food should incldue his hand, middle finger extended.

You guys will teach me to eat dinner with my wife, won't you? This place is interesting to say the least. Lots of questions about me, so to cover all the current concerns, here we go:

I did a stint as a hamburger chef (grill man) in a Frostop burger place while in high school. i could clean two griddles, strain the fryer grease and mop the kitchen in less than 20 minutes at end of shift. My boss loved me because I kept the grill line squeaky clean. I was skilled at both Lot-O-Burger and butterburger grilling, hot dog fabrication, fish sandwich dressing, french fry and onion ring frying. I knew how to load a freezer cart with rootbeer mugs to Frostop corporate specifications and I could fill a mug to the rim and never make any foam. Back in those days, folks complained if their mug had any foam.

All of that was accomplished in Pre-McDonalds days so I have no Micky-D stories to share.

I also worked in a drive in theater concession stand, popping corn and filling drinks. Both of these jobs in the food industry ended over 50 years ago. Honestly I have no idea where to find a drive in movie now.

I served KP a couple or three times while in the military, mostly as punishment for something I did wrong that upset someone of higher rank than me. I was pretty good at pot washing and floor mopping but I saw no future in it and got my s--t together in order to avoid it.

I managed to eventually obtain post graduate degrees in two sciences (chemistry and microbiology). I still go to work every day.

I shoot a mean game of pool and am smart enough to know there is and always wil be someone better than me in everything I do.

I am a military trained marksman and know how to efficently kill with a number of different weapons, most of which I own. If you come to visit me and it is after dark when you get here, do not come to the door without calling me first. I don't like unannounced nighttime visitors.

My wife is the joy of my life and I am very proud of my sons, DILs and grandchildren. I love God and have no doubts about my status with Him.

Yes I like posting here and will probably post a pictoral on toast eventually. If I do, it will certainly include a reference to Elwood Blues making white bread toast over the stove burner because I consider that to be one of the saddest scenes in any movie I have ever seen.

Do yourself a favor and ignore the toast post if it is not your stuff. It might get mushy.

I can take criticism, I do not like it when that criticism is directed toward my family. That is a certain sign of poor character IMO. Hopefully you know from my actions here that I would not treat you that way.

If you read my posts carefully, you will find they are full of cooking tips. My belief is that for every post you hate, someone here enjoyed it. My pleasing everyone here is probably one of the revelation signs of the end days.

I am certain everyone here knows that five or six other posters have posted their photo hamburger posts.

My spam post is still unique. However, several have touted the joys of head cheese and souse so I remain confused what the problem with spam was.

Peace to all of you.

It's a shame this thread was anchored. That was one of the better posts I've ever read here.
